Recently I ordered a set of Berserk manga from online bookstore based in Singapore. Yesterday I just found out that the books have been "detained by Home Ministry" with no hope of ever getting the book back, I called the customer service and they also said cannot do anything the books will not be returned to them. Luckily I received a full refund...if not....

Just writing here to let people know that Berserk manga is banned in Malaysia. Does anyone know where I can find a full list of ALL banned books in Malaysia??? Isn't it idiotic when I can read it illegally online for free but when I want to pay real money for a real book with the government getting a cut from taxes, I can't???

Malaysia boleh, semalam boleh, hari ini boleh, esok pun boleh...

Never heard of such ban before. Let's hope this won't spread into a witch hunt.

how come home ministry detained it? if it was customs, they fall under finance ministry. unless if it was confiscated by airport police which falls under the home ministry

Very strange news indeed.

Perhaps this was a counter-revenge of Upin & Ipin being banned from Japan recently.

Ya LOL. Gantz is being sold in Borders, Kino etc. And books like Parasyte too. Maybe they are keeping it for themselves or maybe it came with *ahem-ahem* stuff as bonus?

But the Berserk anime is not banned rite, I remember seeing shops selling them, not sure ori or not...somemore I have bought American comics that r juz as violent and full of nudity too...I juz hoping that they can come out clear guideline wat is ban n wat is not ban and oso publish the full list of books banned.
