what if they mistaken it as bomb??? rclxub.gif hahaha, such a solid box-like shape wrapped with clothes.

yeah, i will update when the things.. manage to seludup in.. shakehead.gif (and i tot finally i manage to get hardcopies of Berserk, mana tau tag along the ppl that like to drink kopi-o).. sigh

hopefully these "drinkers" wont surf lyn and saw this thread shocking.gif

P/S: Berserk anime is SOFTCORE, I guess that's y they din ban the anime. BUT, the storyline ended AWFULLY, stopped at beginning of the climax story! If u read the manga first then only watch the anime, it will off ur syiokness, TOTALLY. To those who have watch the anime but didn't read the manga, I recommend you to READ it.

There. Good explanation. It's probably not in any list. They just look at the cover, see all the naked people ... another issue with a different cover might get through. So the answer to the original question. No books or any stuff with naked people.

And TS is lucky. They just took only your book. If this was America, and someone thinks the girls appear to be under 18. You might be in jail for child-porn, even though those are hand drawn images, not photos of real people.

BTW: the earlier questions about mein kampf. I don't think our govt cares about it. It's das kapital that's more likely to be in the banned list.

Recently I ordered a set of Berserk manga from online bookstore based in Singapore. Yesterday I just found out that the books have been "detained by Home Ministry" with no hope of ever getting the book back, I called the customer service and they also said cannot do anything the books will not be returned to them. Luckily I received a full refund...if not....

Just writing here to let people know that Berserk manga is banned in Malaysia. Does anyone know where I can find a full list of ALL banned books in Malaysia??? Isn't it idiotic when I can read it illegally online for free but when I want to pay real money for a real book with the government getting a cut from taxes, I can't???

Malaysia boleh, semalam boleh, hari ini boleh, esok pun boleh...

Interestingly, there are a lot of books in the Malay language that are banned, and a small number of Japanese books.

It is not uncommon for the Home Ministry to detain foreign publications. Even simple things like the international version of the IHT from Hong Kong are intercepted and (amongst other things) pictures containing protests in Afghanistan/Iraq have their banners blacked out (as if there are many people in this country that can read Arabic/Pashtoon-Darwi).

Its not the end, but more likely than not you wouldn't get it back.

Try to reduce your non-anime thoughts to the minimum or I move this thread over RWI.

Agreed. The Berserk animation and voices really did do justice to the series, however the issue was regarding the story. It's a dumbed down version of the story that cuts out alot of the original plots such as....

Overall, because of the watered down version of the story in the anime, Gutz looks less badass then he really is suppose to be like in the manga. The fans only watch the anime for nostalgia how the manga would look if it were fully animated.
Anyway.... i wanted to buy the entire volumes so far in English. Any ideas where i can get them ???? Would Borders at the Curve have them  hmm.gif

So if in this case the item that is being confiscate by the minister of home affairs do you have any way of seeking to reclaim the item or challenge on the basis of what grounds do they detain the so called item ???? If so ask them to produce proper papers on the detention of that item.

even if it's not banned, they still have reasons for confiscate. Contains too much violences and x scenes (same kind of genre with Gantz, except that Gantz = futuristic, Berserk = medievil). Kinda hard, what wonders me is, Y BANNED ONLY BERSERK

I wonder if they actually read them first before deciding it's banned. Or did they just go through the covers. Or flip through the pages.

Or maybe the guy checking it actually liked it so much he took your order for himself.
