The plain Kova looks very ordinary and kinda cheap as well.
However, after it plugged then with the light is look much nicer and just an elegant mouse.

how bout its performance?
lets say comparing it with the DA(mentioning the old one because loads of people say the sensor in this older version out-performs the new refresh one), DAv2, abyssus, ikari and kinzu.
*
In sensor wise, Kova is optical mouse sensor speed and precision can match with DA abyssus and kinzu since all of them are optical (infrared as well) mice.

Don't think can classify Kova into Ikari laser category.
DA is ergonomic so providing different way of comfort depends on personal preference.

Abyssus and Kinzu are the equivalent of Kova for me in performance, Abyssus is just like Kova in Razer. Anyway i rather Kinzu which providing what can gain from Kova and Abyssus but because of less 'bling' feature so with a nicer price. Concluded Kinzu is my choice among 3 of them because of the price.

if say for laptop's mobile mouse, pyra wireless is better than Kova.
Orochi nice also but price tag at different weightage.

Hello, just got myself a roccat kave, but I feel like there's something wrong, the rear sound feels great, like its really from the rear, but the front doesnt feel like its comign from the front. I'm using the Asus Rampage 3 built in X-fi MB sound. Anyone else faced this also?
*
Haha maybe is you thought too much, front means front, is just like usual sound unlike from rear feel different. Myself think Kave surround is not bad 1 based on i tried it few time in some fest and fair.

However, heard 1 thing about Kave is the weight, too heavy. Long term usage causing headache and pain and neck, did you experience this>?

most of the headphone also very suck stylist lo, giving those stupid hair style ^^

Anyway, some opinion for Kave, true sound is good.

the cons is the weight, secondly is the ear pad, for me is quite hard material not really comfortable, I compared it with few of my other HiFi headset like Philips and SONY XB500. (and Kave's earpad really gathering the heat)

Really? The earcups' padding are soft for me brows.gif>

Maybe is soft among most of the gaming headset.
If try compare to Hi Fi headset, they are very concerning on the comfortability of the ear cups, really different.

Lol , just asking  wink.gif
Anyway , is the weight of this headset really THAT unbearable? Sounds like a flaw to me which is most probably caused by the Vibrators itself.
*
Is really heavy compared to my Sony XB-500. Wicked.

multimedia in general but mostly gaming. mostly on a portable platform.

Other than your preference, i think you should considering about what you expected from it, the usual usage.

If you use more movies, song why not go for other hifi headset brand or audiophile.

If you want more directional 5.1 effect and performance, then go ahead for Kave, you will never regret.

In comfort wise, weight of Kave and it ear cup is really depressed me.

how u jack it?? izit can get the best quality sound??
*
I think no, he need another external 5.1 sound card which allow all the audio jack off the Kave can be jacked in then only can make full use.

Now you can see the rear sound part is actually jacked into the 3.5mm jack splitter only.

wah..in dat case,i dun have to buy xpensive sc n i can only use stereo 3.5mm jack only bcoz still can get 5.1 surround sound..
ur external 5.1 Creative X-Fi oso kinda xpensive actually lol

wah..in dat case need to spend more lol to buy sc only... cry.gif

Omg, if everybody think like this, then I think ASUS and Creative will bankrupt.

5.1 SC of cause having it's own function.
If you trying to use stereo audio jack splitter, maybe you can put front reaar side all that thing also.
This means you manually doing that your SC is doing, necessary meh?

Moreover, SC will controlling all the loudness, treble, bass for you, if you doing multi channel, means you need adjust the volume for each channel by yourself also.

(not really any fact i read, just i think this will happen, if wrong plz correct me)

Okay after much researching and due  to location the Siberia v2 isnt a choice now.

So basically I'm now stuck with Razer Carcharias and the Kave , which will you guys recommend ? Please do give your opinions.

P/s : Note that , I will not be using the 5.1 on the Kave cuz i don't have 5.1 jacks. Will it worth the money if i use it as stereo?
*
If you are comfortable with Kave's weight then it is highly recommended. Of cause advice to get a 5.1 SC with surround to make full use of it, otherwise it is a great waste.

Thanks for the advise . So , what bout Kave's stereo vs the Carcharias ? Comparable?
Btw , i might get a 5.1 soundcard , but needs time.

P/s : Just checked my motherboard for space but turns out limited. My GC's cooler ate the 1st PCI but 2nd is still ok but i don't know if its enough for the sound card.
*
Get a close eye to PSU also, if you did using a powerful GC already, after add in the SC must make sure enough power.

Depends what you are getting.
If say you get a Creative X-fi Titatium HD, only the SC will cost you about 700++ to 800
