Yes, the difference is that it's a Roccat Kova and not a Roccat Kave laugh.gif.
*
QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Sep 24 2010, 08:54 PM)
The Difference is minor, btw, you got a spelling there. Kave =X

Pyra seems to have a more glossy finish without LED lights
*
haha. Noted nod.gif

yeah, I realize Pyra below the scroll button have LED lights.
if it's almost the same, then whats the point of getting Kova since it's almost similar to Pyra? hmm.gif

hi guys... got my kone awhile back from moderno... I've been using Krait prior to kone and all I can say is built quality wise its like merc and kancils XD... My krait gave way just 6 month after i bought it and at that time didnt have any warranty what so ever. Good to know kone have warranties. Another thing I personally like about it is it's software. very intuitive and damn good macro manager. I'm very happy with my kone and looking forward to having a pyra for my lappy.

And btw... put me on the list as well please (didnt realize theres such list... must be gettin old)
*
Kone flex.gif
I like to change the lights every night, something new everyday.

wow. your Krait lasted 6 months shocking.gif quite a period of time..

for a decent gamer ,( not too expensive , not so high specs doh.gif)

is Roccat Kova good enough ? or should i get a Razer mamba / SS Ikari

p/s : currently using HP Laser mosue lol
*
Mamba RM400+ laugh.gif
get Ikari Optical. Edifier clearing stocks, RM129 only.

you might one to consider this few options:
Imperator, Lachesis, Kinzu, DeathAdder, Ikari Optical, Kova, Mx518. All below RM240.

prefer ambidextrous or right-handed mouse?
claw or palm grip?

Apparently it's just interpolated so the sensor isn't actually performing at 6000dpi, rather it's the driver pushing the dpi up.
*
wut the doh.gif what's wrong with those guys at Roccat?
Kone using the same sensor as G9. double doh.gif

6000dpi  drool.gif
4 way scroll button  drool.gif
blingbling LED  drool.gif
larger dpi switching button compared to kone  drool.gif
and the design is simply stunning  thumbup.gif

on top of all.. easy shift [+] button ! notworthy.gif
i simply love macro !

not to forget switching dpi or profile theres some gay sound. (dpi up.. dpi down..) lul

waiting for review after it reaches msia before getting it !

Kone[+] 6000dpi is interpolated. Some thing like "Virtual".

and Kone[+] is using the same sensor as Kone.

3200DPI Pro-AIM GAMING SENSOR

Pro-Aim sensor is the Avago 6090. But I think Kone[+] is using Avago 9500.
which is currently used in Kone, the epic phailed G9 and the nice-but-nobody-wants-to-buy SS WoW mouse.

there's one fella who's rage over Kone+ using AVAGO 9500 sensor and claim AVAGO 9500 is a piece of shit which you read the following post.
QUOTE
..another contender in sh*t-mouse race using world worst gaming sensor = Avago 9500. Today interpolated to sh*ty 6000 DPi. Thats sure win for ROCCAT and sure fail for any progamer.

Have fun and stay away from that sh*t, bro!

(only gaming mouse usable with this is G9x and its very limited use, cause even if it has very little of problems common to Avago 9500, it still has them, I can only suggest buying Razer, even with that Z-tracking problem.. still better)

take a n example of Philips Twin-Eye sensor that used to be quite problematic.
and look at how Razer patched up their firmware to make it problem-free.
but CM Storm Sentinel phailed even though it's the same sensor.

I doubt Roccat will fix this issue.
take a look at the scroll button issues on Kone V1. When Kone V2 was released, the didn't even fix that.

Like I said, the manufacturer do play a important role.

but most of them are bias, cause that's a Roccat shop blog.
