xfw symbian beta using original font right ? after flashing i dont have auto creation for the folder hmm.gif or i did something wrong here ?

btw nice job again on the hs.. i love the finger tap biggrin.gif

u need to start using the device then it'll auto create, for music and bluetooth i suggest u to create manually 1st since most of all use the category often smile.gif .. remember the Open System Files must be always enabled ..

The mass problem of current users to migrate to v40.0.005 for APAC Malaysia users .. Nokia removed v40.0.005 from their list, im not sure wats the issue since it has not brought up to Nokia yet.

There's no point trying FOTA or even NSU, users will still wont get, bcos it was pulled out from their list smile.gif

My phoenix worked just fine in 64 bit blink.gif
I've flashed the PNHT firmware files before. Dont know why Symbian Beta XFW cant be detected.

Can you guide me step by step if you managed to flash the XFW with phoenix? smile.gif

I have both Navifirm version and Factory version of Nokia FW v40.0.005, the frontpage is the one u'll download from FOTA .. a standard and clean v40.0.005.

Enjoy v40 !

1. Disconnect phone, close Phoenix n PC Suite completely ..
2. Start PC Suite and connect phone into PC Suite mode when it asks ..
3. PC Suite will re-install / repair any driver issues ..
4. Observe the phone screen as a notification update may appear ..

After finished, copy all firmware into Phoenix path .. and execute Phoenix and it should auto detect now .. smile.gif

I saw in v40 (release on Jan 2010) change log it says "Rotate the phone horizontally, it automatically activates the QWERTY keyboard."

I have a friend (bought before Nov 2009)using 5800 too on v20, vertically is alphanumeric but horizontally it change to full qwerty keyboard AUTOMATICALLY. and its on v20. Is this weird ?

Cause mine v21, when vertically is in alphanumeric mode, horizontally also in alphanumeric mode.

they have certain features in v20 which re-released in v40 after some features like Kinetic Scrolling issue interfere with camera and screen rotation, the bugs report has been upped in Nokia Developer site long ago before releasing v40.0.005 .. till now v20 is the best FW from Nokia unfortunately no KS smile.gif

Hm you mean after I do the above steps, Phoenix should be able to detect the firmware when I click "Firmware Updates" from the top?
Because Phoenix detects my phone just fine, just that the XFW cant be selected.

Haven't reinstall PC suite, takut conflict with phoenix blush.gif
