I wonder if there's any difference with other public universities ?
Such as if we compare the environment of USM and UIAM ? I mean...the world "Islamic" does that conclude that most of the students there are Islam ? |

Well with IPTA and their unofficial quotas mostly any IPTA you go would have majority of Islam students ^^" It's just you will see more of the Islamic elements in UIAM compared to other universities and the students have a more strict dress-code than other universities probebly ^^

As far as I know, non-bumi can study in uia too. And you don't necessarily need to be a Muslim to enter uia. Few of my friends are non-bumi (Indian, Chinese and some from other countries). We (since I was uia-ans before
If I'm not mistaken, non-muslim here need to take some islamic studies as well like other students. And don't worry, it's not a 'pecah kepala' kind of subject. In my opinion, it's more like ethical issues in which that if you goreng during exam, sure can get marks lah One more thing I like is the environment. I mean more like the location of where all the kuliyyahs, office buildings are situated. Everything is like in the centre of uia. And outside the centre boundaries are the hostels. You don't have to run around the campus just to get from one place to another which to me is wasting my time and only make me all sweaty by the time I arrive to my next class, haha. And the hostels are superb I think. Very selesa and not like the school hostel type. Each room will have 4 students and each of the students will have their own compartment. More privacy lah. Do naughty thing also ppl don't know Whatelse..?? Ugh, the international students are very kind and very comfortable to work with. I don't really have issues with most of the international students that I worked with before... well, some of them might be a bit 'konon-konon sangatlah pandai in everything but they're actually not' but most of them are very down to earth, so easy to work with. One thing to be berjaga-jaga is the pak guard. They can be very 'kejamlah' sometimes, fining ppl, especially when PTPTN or the scholars are out. Aaah, and don't be all 'terkejut' once you start studying there and suddenly if you go outing and take the train from Terminal Putra, you'll see some students who go with you inside the bus to the LRT all wearing very ayu and then by the time they reach Terminal Putra, they'll take off everything and walla, here comes the skinny jeans, sleeveless tops |

anyone can enter IIUM...from my personal observation, most non-bumis pursuit their studies in IIUM for law degree. non-muslim girls need to wear scarf and proper cloth to class and if im not mistaken the syllabus for muslim and non muslim slightly different. |
