QUOTE(advocado @ May 15 2010, 07:17 PM) After 10 years building gundams i just realised they are MADE IN JAPAN. At least the MG & PG. What about SD & HG? QUOTE(advocado @ May 15 2010, 09:22 PM) Bandai's model kits were made in their factory; which the manufacturing were done almost, if not fully 100% by machines there. Usually for cost per product, machine made will always lower than manual labor. The only time where they need China to do the manufacturing is for their pre-painted products (their action figures, kit with prepainted parts like Speed Grades, Gundam Collection series etc).Kotobukiya does not have hi-tech facility like Bandai, so they have to rely on China on almost everything they make, including model kits. Furthermore, many of their model kits do have pre-painted parts, which need manual labor, thus increasing the cost per product. Oh btw, little report on Graffiti gunpla offer - MG Sazabi, Sinanju : rm 269 - HGUC Dendrobium : RM 950 - 1/48 RX-78-2 : RM 250 - MG Strike Freedom FBM : RM 199 - MG Guntank : RM 165 - MG Infinite Justice : RM 175 - HGUC Jegan, RX-78-7 : RM 50 - HGUC Hi-Nu : RM 75 - MG Exia IM : RM 179 - MG Exia TransAm : RM 189 - VF-27 Brera Custom : RM 180 - VF-25F Alto Custom with Super Pack : RM 200 |

QUOTE(Parody @ May 17 2010, 03:48 PM) AEUG (4000yen) comes with the Argama base, to be connected to MG Zeta 2.0's catapult. Titans (3500yen) doesn't. AEUG version with base has issue with the hip (cannot turn), which they change it in the subsequent Titans version. HD version is using the 2.0 Titans version as the base.HD version of AEUG doesn't come with the base but price still remains at 4000yen. Titans HD is 4000yen also. Personally, i'd recommend the normal AEUG version with the base. |

QUOTE(MyKy44 @ May 21 2010, 12:42 PM) but their scale is same as bandai meh? their 1/144 is same size as bandai's 1/144 ar? i think no kan? That's depend on the height of the actual mecha. Alteisen is 22.2 meters, 1/144 Alteisen of course will be larger and taller than 1/144 RX-78. Thus is why 1/144 Dygenguard is big, coz the actual height of Dygenguard is 55.4m, which is around 38cm for 1/144. Generally. mecha in SRW is taller than average Gundam |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jun 4 2010, 04:10 PM) Not sure what you are asking, but here goes: Hmm for RX-78-2, maybe can include Musha Gundam? For gunpla... MG - 1.0, 1.5, ver Ka, Perfect Gundam, OYW, ver2.0 (these are not including MSVs) HGUC - original, 30th anniversary Not sure about ancient versions of gunpla, and recolors/extra-finish/special editions don't count. As for in-universe RX-78s, RX-78-1 : Black and white unit 2 : Amuro's red-white-blue unit 3 : G3 4 : The blue one with beam launcher 5 : The red one with gatling 6 : Murdoch 7 : The Katoki designed one with full-armor parts. Note that Murdoch is the only one without any mainstream gunpla released. There are also variations such as Casval custom and the recently released FA gundam. The Alex is loosely based on the RX78 series although it's often considered as a separate unit. |

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Jun 17 2010, 07:40 AM) ^ saw a huge box of Raiden @ Toyz & Hobbyz at e@Curve. Was it that 1? The box was bigger than other Virtual On boxes though. Didn't check the price, nice cover though. Then I realised, Bandai went that direction also for their box design, for certain Gundam kits, right? The cartoonish rendering and such. Hmm actually that's what 3d-rendering of Virtual-On mecha look all along, since they first release VO:OTQUOTE(MyKy44 @ Jun 17 2010, 11:04 AM) a lot of runners ar? Didn't count the number of runners. Can check dalong tho got 2 versions of the Raiden. Got one is pink, another is the black/red one, box very big (bigger than normal MGs). price was like 279 or something, in Gamer's Arena i tempted to buy, cos i like Raiden fanboi all along |
