I just realized that the X-Men Trilogy I ordered in late November 2009 (received in December 2009) got some problem.  cry.gif

The disc 1 of X-Men: The Last Stand is actually disc 1 of X2: X-Men United.  This mean I got 2 disc 1 of X2: X-Men United.  doh.gif  I just realized 10 mins ago when I first time playing this disc.  cry.gif

I already watched X-Men and X2: X-Men United 1 to 2 months ago but I left X-Men: The Last Stand untouched until today.

Just write email to Amazon US to check whether can exchange or not for that particular disc... sweat.gif

Wow bro, how unlucky... ur jinx Black Friday order return and haunt you still.... ohmy.gif
Now I'm terrified too... because I have no less than 10 titles still untouched and unwrapped yet sweat.gif sweat.gif

The delay will always be at our shores; that is either at our Ketam, KDN or Pos. So for those who live in East M'sia... those delay process will double up I'm sure! doh.gif It is just unfortunate that the process require all incoming packages to come through KL even if you live in E.Msia...

As for "itchy hand" case, I doubt it lah... but you'll never know, human is human right... rclxub.gif

If the packaging are fully sealed unbreakable, that sort of behavior can be avoided..
Massive price cut "Wonder Woman" USD12.99 , - USD 11.99 , good buy for DC comic fans..

Well, that depends from where you bought/ordered. In Amazon's case, some boxes (usually the smaller ones) are made to be partially reveal its content... for Ketam's inspection that is... smile.gif

Please note that the price of The Negotiator [Blu-ray] has decreased from $18.99 to $14.49 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart. Items in your cart will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product detail pages.

Anyone bought this before? How's the transfer... much improve from dvd? hmm.gif

I still think the only version to watch & appreciate Avatar is in 3-D... it was made to be watched through this dimension. Just like LOTR, the only version to fully appreciate is the Extended Cut. But that's just me.... And I think the superbit version is purely marketing ploy. They want consumer to buy this 'superflous' version first whistling.gif

Avatar from Region B will almost surely be locked. FOX locks 90% of their titles, and that 10% usually only on some catalog titles.

But who knows (though most unlikely), just be sure to wait for confirmation before check-out.

I guess it's time for us to own an alternate region-free player then... brows.gif

BTW, the tabbed-nipple on most Australian blu-ray cover (not only slipcase actually...) as mentioned by SkyWir3. For me, this even worse than double-nipple UK blu-rays... biggrin.gif

Yo fadthil,

The Australian blu-ray is far worst than nippled, yes.. also not many fancy the releases too..

Anyway..Today securely received my Blu-ray's in 2 days from my source.

I must say far quicker and safer than Amazon shipping..(it might be wrong assumption, hope the rest dont mind eh)..

Wow, you're really one big Bollywood-movie fan aren't you? How do ya manage to watch all that, plus some other Hollywood stuff I bet - one after the other or you planned watching every other night or maybe weekends? How do ya do it... because I did order quite a number of titles in one go during the last Black Friday sale (English movie lah...) but most yet to unwrap; let alone watching 'em.... blush.gif

My pick of the day for a dropped price title.

Eyes Wide Shut, starring Nicole Kidman brows.gif and Tom Cruise.

The movie was shot during they were together. I guess they separated after this film or so..

Good deal of the day USD9.99 . Just watch Nicole & Tom bare naked and obscene..

When you watch blu-ray version of Eyes Wide Shut, you will noted some scenes are more sexually explicit than previous origianl DVD version since there is lot of optically censored for original DVD version.  brows.gif

Here is explanation from one editor about censored scenes:
Also, please note:

The other day I watched Eyes Wide Shut.... I really don't get it, the whole film... but I don't see the grainy part, so did the explicit scenes! In fact I don't really see Tom & Nicole...
Oh, I watched it while my eyes wide shut...

Anyone had returned BD to Amazon US before  icon_question.gif ?  Amazon's mean of "an economical air mail method" is that include courier using DHL?  I just checked with DHL, for parcel going to US, if less than 500g, the charge is RM165 which I don't know whether it is under their defination of "economical" or not?
*
The reason being... whatever your return shipping cost (the amount you paid to send the parcel back to them) will be reimbursed by Amazon once they received them. So, in other words they want to pay you the most minimum amount as they can...

Talking about blu-ray casing, I've been looking for one too to replace some of my titles that were cracked when received from Amazon.

If you're looking for one, try to avoid the type with a protruding spine (case B). I have 4-5 cracked casing of this type. The edge is fragile and can break easily (circled area)! Apart from that, this type B where the recycle logo is placed - is really flimsy; your paper sleeve can crumple if pressure is applied too much on the outer casing... doh.gif

Look for case type A (known for its rounded corner when in close position). This one is more robust.... nod.gif

My 2 cents....

Today I requested for the 3 replacement order for the 3 missing parcels from Amazon US. They placed the replacement order for me and charged my card accordingly and then created a refund to my credit card accordingly for the 3 replacement orders.

Wondering why I'm getting additional refund for the shipping charges. Email from them as below:

All,

I hope you guys dont mind my opinion on Amazon and their shipping mishaps.

For the past 1-2 months i've been reading this thread and i barely see anyone not commenting on Amazon's shipping.

The comments and complaint demoralized myself to purchase from Amazon.

Please advise if its rather safe or loss if i were to make a deal with Amazon. Please share your experiences while purchasing BLU-RAY..

Amazon has the No.1 customer service in the world, hands down! All the problems you read or heard with regard to shipping are due on our side (that is our Customs, Pos Malaysia or KDN etc). 2 years ago when Tower.com used to deliver blu-rays to M'sia, I'm having a bad time with their customer service... it took them a week to reply my email while Amazon only took under 24 hours!! That's a world difference there, bro.... nod.gif

Actually there's no complaint about Amazon itself. It's more bcos peasant like me can't afford those expensive delivery using uncle DHL. That's why ended up it's either ketam or Mr. Post got problem. Imagine my parcel released by ketam KLIA on 29 December 2009 and reached me only on 9 March 2010. How efficient is that? btw, I'm from Sarawak. Maybe that could be a reason but previously I used to receive in 3 weeks from dispatch date.
*
I reckon this is a "one-off" case. I think everyone's parcels too got caught up in between the hassle and traffic of year-end / festive season of last year. My longest wait for a parcel from Amazon was 7 weeks from despatched date. I thought it was MIA, but received it eventually.... and just a day short before Amazon actually send out a replacement copy.

I actually got 3 long overdue parcel which I requested for a replacement parcel from Amazon US. Another replacement parcel which they send using Expedited mid last month (expected to arrive 17 March) also not arrived. No sign also for another parcel order order 3 week ago and replacement parcel from Amazon UK still no sign of arrival after a month. So, I got total 6 parcels to arrive.  sad.gif
*
Wow, special case you... are you sure Amazon got your address right? Maybe postcode or certain number that was wrongly printed... and make our Pakcik Posman unable to deliver? hmm.gif I do have friends living in E.M'sia Sarawak and they don't have problem losing parcels or receiving too late all the time...

I think our WIR3-ed friend is sleeping now... but err, who likes thick UK casings anyway, right? I know it looks more robust & sturdy but it really taken up space in my cabinet (til date I only have 2 thick UK titles anyway)

Last night, finally unwrapped & watched Resident Evil. Not a bad movie and not typical shoot-shoot-kill zombie-type movie, because there's a nice story written around it with a little substance.... PQ was fairly good too for a B-type and a 8-year old movie, while grain was at its minimal. AQ was not bad too, being aggressive here & there. Funny,
there's also a hidden Dolby Digital 5.1 audio (that you can't select from the menus) that function as default audio if your system is not compatible with Dolby True-HD... weird!

But the highlight of the movie has to be: Milla Jovovich's "PH" slip; when she was in the observation room towards the end of the movie drool.gif laugh.gif

Overall, a good & satisfying watch.... but not sure about getting the 2 sequels since it was not directed by Paul Anderson hmm.gif
