QUOTE(anfieldude @ Mar 30 2010, 07:49 PM) With Amazon UK going back to Royal Mail the delivery times are back to normal. 7 days from ship to deliver. DHL Post took about 9-10days. I have not receive my copies of Toy Story 1 & 2 cause I am using standard shipping. I will check my copies whether got slipcovers or not. Also Toy Story 1 & 2 I received from BOGO has the slipcovers, there was some concern that the ones shipped during the BOGO did not have slipcovers. |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Mar 30 2010, 08:54 PM) Mine was standard shipping as well. Previously, when Royal Mail was on strike, they used to use Deutche Post (DHL Post). Now its back to Royal Mail. Then, I hope I can receive it this week. This post has been edited by low98944: Mar 30 2010, 09:11 PM |

QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Mar 30 2010, 11:00 PM) Guys, good news here But that is not the cheapest price. The lowest in record is $18.99.A Bug's Life Blu-ray at 20.49 after long waiting period. A Bug's Life Blu-ray Good time to buy now before its increases again.. Better get Spider-man Trilogy (UK version) £17.95 (before deduct VAT), the lowest in record and US Version lowest price is $48.99. UK version is really worth buying compared to US Version which is same 4 BDs. And the main point is, UK version is region free |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Mar 30 2010, 11:32 PM) That is good news. Due to price different issue but content no much difference except different as stated above, now I have tendency to prefer to purchase in Amazon UK, except some major titles I still prefer US version. This trend start when I can convert region B locked disc into ISO and removing region coding and play it in media player. So far only fail to convert "SuicideGirls: Guide to Living" due to don't know what reason that software keep asking for update This post has been edited by low98944: Mar 30 2010, 11:48 PM |

Those like Godfather collection and don't mind nipple can now go to order in Amazon UK. The price only £0.01 higher than lowest price in records.
UK version is exact same as US version except packaging, nipple, slightly different in audio and subtitles. Both got 4 BDs but UK version only £17.99 (before excluding VAT) whereas US version now is selling $49.99 (also lowest price in Amazon US's record). Time to move it!!! |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Apr 1 2010, 09:20 PM) If I lucky, I still get defect product from Amazon US. Example, my X-Men trilogy. Defect product exist everywhere. Actually, if me memory served me well, all my defect BDs, defect due to distributors or fault of Amazon by giving wrong description which subsequently lead to full refund, is all happened in Amazon US. QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Apr 1 2010, 10:30 PM) Agree with you, defect exist everywhere , most important is we ought to enjoy the movie rather gettin' worried bout the details. I think its a kinda of sickness , even my own blood brother, never prefers UK edition blu-ray's. He's more to anything from US. If not mistaken, more than 1 titles got BM but seldom see BDs from US got BM for sure. All we need is a content of the disc. Probably there could be loads of differences, for me i just think they resemble much in larger volume. No offence bro maskedchan.. [im speaking in common though] Added on April 1, 2010, 10:31 pm Suprise .. Is this the only movie u have seen BM as subtitle? |

QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Apr 2 2010, 12:59 AM) Need a general advice Rating is totally irrelevant in import those movies. According to my experience, your lucky is main factor that affect your BDs can arrive in your hand or not. My blu-ray supplier wants me to bring in the following blu-ray to MYS. 1. Kamasutra - The Indian Way Of Love - Blu-Ray 2. Tantra - The Secret Of Sexual Exstasy -Blu-Ray 3. Bollyrobics - Dance Like Bollywood Stars Blu-Ray I doubt that this will even gets through the Customs. Should i reject the stock or accept it?. Plus i know its illegal to sell it at LYN..can someone let me know if this is definitely not worth spending time working on it.. This post has been edited by low98944: Apr 2 2010, 08:11 AM |

No problems with the refund for me. I got mail from Amazon today regarding the faulty part II: Possible affected units can be identified by the catalogue reference BSP2032 appearing on the spine of the outer slipcase holding all four discs, coupled with the barcode reference 5 051368 203232 appearing on the underside of the outer slipcase. QUOTE Posted on 23 Nov 2009 10:38 GMT J. Irmer says: I have just been contacted by amazon again and it seems that anybody who has a faulty disc will get a free replacement! :-) Here's what amazon wrote: "We have been made aware of a potential manufacturing issue with the title you purchased from Amazon.co.uk. One of the discs in this boxed set: "The Godfather Part 2" may not work properly on your Blu-ray player. The symptoms of the possible fault are that the disc for "The Godfather Part 2" will not play. If you have experienced the symptoms described above when trying to playback "The Godfather Part 2" Blu-ray disc from this specific boxed set, please contact Rebecca.Sparrow@Technicolor.com who will provide you with details of how to return the faulty disc 2 and receive a free replacement disc. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and for using Amazon.co.uk." QUOTE(fadthil @ Apr 2 2010, 11:06 AM) The horrible PQ in our cinema huh? I noticed that long ago redi... could it be because they have to re-duplicate for the 'subtitled' version for our local cinema projecting and lead to degradation of quality? Oh, then again I dont know how subtitles were done on cinema reel... just my thoughts. Yes. I read somewhere at http://bluray.highdefdigest.com, the more "generation" you copy of your movie, the more degrade of the quality of the PQ for that copy. |
