hello guys, I need a clarification regarding the maxis network setting on my Iphone 3GS. I had Maxis disabled all my 3G,Edge and GPRS few weeks ago and now I had some ideas in my mind.

1) According to my understanding, 3G setup and EDGE&GRRPS are different, right? So, I'm thinking if I activate my 3G service back,
leaving EDGE & GPRS disable, will it be possible? hmm.gif

2) Apart from that, if my assumption above is correct, does it means after I've used 3G network and then off it in my setting, Iphone will not be
searching for EDGE/GPRS network or resuming 3G network like the default factory setting right? Then, I will only be charged for 3G network
expenses when I really need it? rclxm9.gif

I wonder if any1 has basically tried tis before? wink.gif

well bro .....you cant on your 3g leaving the gprs and edge off...in short they are like family..first the iphone start searching gprs for data usage...incase that area support edge then it goes to edge....but only 3g is optional..once you off gprs...then there nothing to begin..3g cant be use..

@iori57,
U don't haf to tell them you're on the iPhone; just tell Maxis U want to totally disable the 3G/EDGE services.  They can do it on their main system and U will no longer have to worry about $ flying out the window.
