Hi all, Need help for my iphone sg3 8gb. Few months ago, i jailbreak my iphone by using spirit. However, recently when i try to restore and upgrade it to ios 4.0 it's totally fail. itunes indicate that my iphone is not eligible for the requested built. i'm very frustrated with it. Now it need to restore it back to original factory setting so that i can send to MAXIS to claim for the warranty. this was not the first time i jailbreak my iphone. however, previous few times didn't showed any problem when i try to restore. i wondering why it will be like this now. is it related to my pc? coz i just format my pc recently. Please help~~~

QUOTE(deekaytv @ Aug 27 2010, 01:50 PM) Which ios did u use before u tried restoring ur phone? \ ios 3.1.3 Added on August 27, 2010, 2:40 pmQUOTE(wanzam99 @ Aug 27 2010, 02:08 PM) Apple no longer signing the 4.0 or 4.0.1 ipsw, you can only restore to 4.0.2 ipsw. 4.0.2 is not jailbreakable at the moment and the Devteam will not work on it. However, if you have saved your iphone shsh blob for the lower firmware (3.1.2, 3.1.3, 4.0 or 4.0.1) previously with saurik server or using tinyumbrella you will be able to restore to the lower firmware by redirecting the host of your computer to 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com. Only 3gs iphone with old bootrom can be jailbroken at 4.0.2 using the latest redsnow or Custom Restore ipsw. i din save my shsh last time. now i jux wan to restore to original none jailbroken version. but itunes not allow. keep on fail and state that my device is not eligible. DO you know how to fixed it?? or anyway at lowyat can i go to seek for help?? This post has been edited by jj0430: Aug 27 2010, 02:40 PM

QUOTE(wanzam99 @ Aug 27 2010, 03:05 PM) please make sure you are restoring to the correct ipsw. For iphone 3gs the firmware file should start with iPhone2,1_ ... the ipsw should look like the following 4.0.1 (3GS): iPhone2,1_4.0.1_8A306_Restore.ipsw 4.0.2 (3GS): iPhone2,1_4.0.2_8A400_Restore.ipsw Itunes auto detect and download the ios, so i think shoud b compatible~~
