Of course, because those apps were not 'bought' under your account. And yes, you have to purchase or download free apps from the App Store of your choosing.

well bro jailbreak only just change the system here and there..nothing much..if your speaker are soft it is not because of jailbreak...maybe some hardware problem...have check the volume limit on the ipod in the settings...sometimes it is low over there..or you have choose a improper eq...try checking that first...
*
@eugenechiuu

If there is no hardware problem, install Volume Boost from Cydia and that should help at least some.

You can find the the solution to your 'problem' in the pinned threads. Plase take some time to read them and you will learn more about the iPhone.

QUOTE(derik87 @ Apr 7 2010, 01:00 PM)
hi all, jz wondering can i charge my iPhone whenever i want? i mean even it is more than 30% or so? or it is better for me to charge only when the battery is less than 20% or so?
another question, can i unplug my iPhone when it is not fully charge?

thx...
*
I'll answer your questions but before I do so, allow me to take the opportunity to say a few things, probably not just for myself but for the more seasoned forummers as well.

Due to the influx of new iPhone owners because obvious reasons, there are more queries inundating the forum here but what irks me and those seasoned forummers is the fact that questions where answers can be found in the pinned threads are being asked over and over again. Why can't one who has spent so much on a gadget take some time to read the relevant threads or even the user manual to know more about it? You can see that nowadays many questions are not being replied especially by 'older' forummers and it is, I believe, due to this main reason. So, guys, please take sometime to read the pinned threads so that you can equip yourself with more knowledge of the iPhone.

Now, the answers to your questions which also actually can be found in the threads...yes, you can charge your iPhone anytime and it does not matter at what level of the battery life. But it is good to once in a while, say, once a month, to let your battery drain completely. And yes, you can unplug anytime even when your iPhone is not fully charged.

Please help to make our forum here clean and 'tidy'. TQ.

From iclarified, it is not recommended to let your phone battery drain till finish.

Other authorities state otherwise, so who are you going to believe???

no worries.

again, i do apologise in advance if there has been any misunderstandings/offensive remarks.

I'll take the opportunity to add my 2 sen worth.

Besides what you said, Nok, the newbies just do not take the time to read the threads which in my scheme of things is the main issue and then when they are admonished, turn around and retaliate, unnecessarily.

hmm if it jailbreak does it still valid.. yea its from maxis

Once an iPhone is jailbroken, the warranty is null and void. So, before you send it in for a claim, make sure you restore it.

i've got a super noobie question......if i use radio in my iphone does it charge me??i mean like if i listen to radio does it use my data??
*

[/quot
Most radio apps if not all require you to connect to the internet. Therefore, if you have wifi there would be no charges but if you connect with 3G, the answer is obvious.

My battery seems drained fast after jb with spirit. It drop about 5% if i put it stanby for 1 night.Izit normal?I am not using backgrounder.Only SBsettings and changed the theme.
*
I have been monitoring battery drainage since having my first iPhone way back when, especially after upgrading of OSs. Yes, this latest 3.1.3 drains your battery faster comparatively.

@yezhacolic: Thanks for your reply!
I'm actually using a JB-ed iPod Touch now and plan to get the iPhone.
But then the Maxis staff said that if I JB my iPhone I'll void my warranty even though I "Reset to Factory Settings" cause the staff in Maxis centre in Gardens/KLCC are trained to detect whether the iPhone has been "Reset to Factory Settings" from a JB-ed firmware.
*
Resetting to Factory Settings is not enough. You need to fully restore your iPhone. In that manner it would be back to its non-jailbroken 'mode'.

QUOTE(developer @ May 16 2010, 06:44 AM)
i am wondering something about my iphone 3g. i have a iphone 3g MB046LL, when i get it i was running on baseband 04.26.08 version 3.0 (yes it is a 2nd hand iphone), and i saw the homescreen there got cydia, and i checked up the model number on the page and i found out the phone is from at&t and most probably it was locked. i was planning to upgrade to 3.1.3 and i have used the f0recast tool to check my phone bootloader and it was at 5.7 so i knew that i can downgrade the baseband using fuzzyband and unlock it using ... tool. i want to perform a clean restore/upgrade so i restored the phone firmware to 3.1.3, not custom firmware as i just clicked the restore button and let itunes download the files and upgrade/restore it. to my surprise that after the phone is restored to 3.1.3, the itunes automatically activate my phone, and then my phone already have signal and i can make call without need to jailbreak and unlock. but what i know is MB046LL was from AT&T and it was for sure locked but i dont know why mine came unlocked. so in the end i opened up the phone and i saw that there are no wires leading to the sim slot there or any weird device attaching to it. so i just want to ask isit possible that AT&T set come factory unlocked?

Added on May 16, 2010, 6:50 amhere i upload a screenshot for you to see. i have masked the iccid, imei and mac address but i left the serial number there so you all can check isit a iphone 3g haha.

Yours must be one of those replacement sets which is a refurbished unit and they are usually sets from the States which explains the US Part No. So, yes such sets are unlocked officially.

Bro, I cannot even have the bluetooth connection at all with other phones ? Why its not feasible bro
*
The bluetooth function for iPhone is only for ear-phone/head-set and not for phone to phone connectivity ie. file transfer.

weird then. Is ther anyway we can improve on tat?
*
It should not be. If it is, there is something wrong and those affected are more the exception than the rule.

If rebooting does not help, do a restore and if that still does not alleviate the problem, try sending in for a warranty claim.

how much? is the lamination good will leave any sticky residue when taken out?
feel like getting IS but no confident on sticking it myself. lol
*
There is a stall at digital mall, section 14(2nd floor?!) which does that and it is cheaper than anywhere else. The last time I did it, it was slightly over a year ago. it was RM30(if my memory serves me correct) for just the backside plus the chrome bezel. But it is the transparent type. With graphics I think it is RM10 more.

It won't leave any residue when peeled off. If you want to try IS, I strongly suggest Bodyguardz or SGP Shield, in that order. They are better and cheaper than IS.

the fella didnt off the phone....i call and text and beg him to sell the phone with market price to me but no reply sad.gif
Do i need to go to lodge a report at police station so that i can go digi centre asking for termination of the contract (with penalty of cos)?
*
First off, you must cancel the SIM card in the iPhone you lost, for obvious reasons. Then termination of contract whether you had a misfortune or not will not absolve you from paying any punitive costs. So, I suggest that you buy a used unit so that you can continue using iPhone with the data package. You can get a 3GS relatively cheaper now in view of the imminent sale of iPhone4.

By the way, reporting to the police would just be a formality as they would not be able to do anything positive for you.

if problem arise again, I will do fresh restore

That being the case, I think you just need to reboot. Only if that does not help, do a restore.

Yes, therefore all those who have this installed, better remember to go into SBSettings and off it every time they reboot.

Guys,

Is there any apps that can enable IPhone wallpaper to move along with page when the page sliding, similar to Windows Phone 7?

tqtq!
*
There is only a handful of themes which allow this. Please don't ask me which as I cannot remember having scoured most of the themes in Cydia. You would have to go through to check them out.

Plan is just a plan. That's all.
Plan entitles you to get certain amount of data connection at a bundled price.
If you don't have a plan then it will follow the normal rate (per kb) which can be quite astronomical depending on what you do with it. I still remember when I activated my plan on Digi many years ago for unlimited Internet in which it wasn't provisioned in their system thus for that first day itself I racked up 1k plus on data alone and got barred. After explaining my situation they unbarred it and everything went ok after that.
iPhone is the type of phone where you need to have plan with it. Even if you don't use the Internet at all, the background will still consume it (unless if you use iOS4 which can switch off the data on demand).
Check with Digi why you can't get online would be the easiest solution.
*
You have to stand corrected a little. You don't need a data plan. You can go online by way of wifi but without a data plan, you have to be diligent and monitor that the wifi connection stays intact otherwise, yes, it will automatically access 3G or EDGE for which you will be charged. And no, if you do not use any app which requires internet connection or you to be online, there would be no charges incurred.
