the best thing with Digi is that after u reach ur data cap limit, u will not be charged for the extra data, instead Digi will throttled down ur speed to edge which is 128kbps. Whereas Maxis will charged for the extra data used up to rm250 per month. Pls correct me if i'm wrong

rm106 per month plan is a bit misleading. In fact, rm106 for 1st 24 months is inclusive of the iDigi88 plan, then the next 12 remaining months is only paying for the phone only. Meaning for 25th-36th month, u need to subscribe another plan to access for voice and data.

QUOTE(lilster @ Mar 30 2010, 02:05 PM) did the math. are u sure digi is cheaper? as far as i have compared. maxis iphone plans are still more worthwhile. Digi is cheaper if u use more then the Data Cap Limit bcoz they do not charged for extra Data usage. Also, free sms and mms is double and for all network. Unlike Maxis, u will be charged for extra data usage, free sms and mms for Maxis network only. The downside is, All Digi plan is for 24 months and voice mins is slightly lower. But, if you do not call much, then should not be a problem. Most iphone user use more Data then Voice call anyway |

QUOTE(lin00b @ Mar 31 2010, 03:39 PM) comparison ur calculation seems a bit wrongdigi88: total cost over 24 months = 3816 maxis100: total cost over 24 months = 3790 however, seeing the items in digi88, it is more reasonable to compare with maxis155 maxis155: total cost over 24 months = 4810 what you get for maxis155 over digi88 = 467minutes/month; call rate at 12sen/minute vs 15sen/minute for digi. for lite user who seldom call/sms but surf net/use app often, digi is better digi88: total cost over 24 months = 3816 <<< this had included the 5% govt tax (rm159x24 EPP All-in One) maxis100: total cost over 24 months = 3790 <<< not yet included the 5% govt tax (rm100x24 + rm1390) ivalue100 plan still subject to 5% so ultimately you have to pay rm3910 |

QUOTE(kayweng @ Apr 1 2010, 09:47 AM) For digi 88 plan ,the internet data is 1GB that for streaming video or download data to my iphone ,right? if the internet data is over the limit quota ,can i surf net via iphone ? how about the 3G speed ? same or reduce some kbps ? after exceed ur quota, u will be still able to access internet but at a lower speed (edge 128kbps) and no extra charges. still good enough for normal web browsing/facebook/google but a bit slow for downloading or youtube etc...If i still can surf net (facebook, google, google map, msn) after exceed quota via iphone ...how about i access internet by laptop via iphone ? still work ? |
