QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ May 8 2010, 01:38 PM) reset factory setting does not void warranty, unless you have jailbreak it and submit for warranty claim then you will face a problem, as informed people always have suggested in this forum, restore to factory setting before submitting for warranty claim is a must do thing. oic... i am glad to listen about this... i dono how to jailbreak coz tis is my 1st time touch Iphone |

2 days ago(friday), i subscribed my 1st Iphone 3Gs in my life from Digi. I subscribed from a Digi Specialised Store. The staff asked me to charge it for 8 hours as usual so i just followed. Before i charged, i took out my Sim Card from phone. 8 hours later, I inserted back the Sim Card to Iphone and switched it on. While the Phone is running, it show it cannot read my Sim Card.
I find back the guy who served me on that day i purchased the phone to tell him what happen my phone. He told me that he can tried to check what happen to my phone but if the problem cannot solve by him, i need to send to Digi Centre. So i just asked him to try. He did the same step as what i did by connect to iTunes and download the restore file (few hours for download that file). He asked me to walk around and came back 3 hours later. Since it is 3 hours, i just return to my home for rest. 3 hours later, i went back to the Store and he told me that he cant solve the problem. Since he quite friendly, i just took it and wait till Monday. Just now, i called to Digi Hotline again and told the Digi Consultant(Friendly) about my problem again. He told me that Digi Centre is open 7 days a week for KL Branch This post has been edited by mikelim89: May 9 2010, 07:53 PM |

QUOTE(LTN @ May 9 2010, 07:57 PM) Too pity. My friend have a iPhone just 2 months from Maxis, but the battery run out every fast. (Morning 8 am on then till 4 pm run out battery). Haih... Actually before i purchase this iPhone i got thinking whether i should go for Android or Apple. But since my sister got her Legend, so i just picked iPhone. But now... Speechless~This is why I still consider to have a iPhone or HTC Legent or others like N97...... |

QUOTE(Poadster @ May 10 2010, 12:19 AM) mikelim89:Bro, cool down.... i know yr frustration but simply ask for a replacement unit. Tell them u tried restore, DiGi staff tried, and still failed..... u donwan to wait another 3/4 hours only to exchange... Electronics purchases are by luck.... u got a lemon, so quickly demand an apple... Hope u can settle it by tomorrow and enjoy yr smart phone.... LTN: Check with yr fren what did he use the phone for when the batt died after 8 hours? If you dont use iPhone but for calls and sms, it can last you 2-3 days depends on usage... But if u use it - Safari + WiFi, Ipod + Stereo Bluetooth Headset, Navigation + GPS, Games - any combination continuously, the batt will not last as these apps takes up much power.... The above was how i "killed" my batt in 4 hours...... |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ May 10 2010, 09:20 PM) Black or White? Well, on basis a branch wouldn't be keeping a lot of replacement unit. If I'm right, they will keep at least 3 replacement units of each model (judging from experience but not facts). If I remember correctly, there are 3 branches in KL which operates from 10am to 10pm. Times Square, SoHo KL and forgot the other one. I went to Taipan branch this morning. I purchased white colour one but he told me both colour also out of stock. Around 11am++ I don't know their sales is so good. You can actually claim your replacement at any branch. I would personally suggest SoHo KL to avoid the crowd in Times Square This post has been edited by mikelim89: May 10 2010, 11:14 PM |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ May 11 2010, 09:59 AM) Again, replacement unit is not the same with boxed unit for new sign-up or sales. Your replacement unit will not come in box, you'll just exchange your iPhone and your Privilege Card, bear that in mind not to expect a new boxed unit Oic. I hope tomorrow got replacement unit for mePlease don't mix up between boxed unit and replacement unit. Both are different. They may have stock for boxed unit, but may not be for replacements Pavilion's branch is slow? Wait till you actually queued up at Times Square during their peak hours which usually = after working hours It will be sometime before the 4G reach M'sia, just look at the iPad now. Anyway, just get the 3GS, you'll bloody love it |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ May 11 2010, 12:54 PM) Why did you not pass them your contact and just ask them to contact you when replacement unit being available? Or perhaps you can actually ask them to check other branches around for stock availability and then you head up there right away i gave them my contact. I got told them that i need it tomorrow because tomorrow is the only day i don't have any classes. I try to control my patience but so hard for me to take it that the phone i just purchased with a problem. Just be patience and you'll get your iPhone replaced |

QUOTE(Maestrol @ May 11 2010, 11:54 PM) I am sorry if someone mentioned about this before: The new IPhone is sealed in a box when i purchase it and the dealer open it for me. If no mistaken, he got connected the iPhone to his PC when i purchased it. As i stated before, the phone only not working after i switched off and charged it for 8hours. Before i charged the phone, there is no problem on it.1. Is the new iPhone sealed in a box when they open it for you? 2. Did they switch on the iPhone and activate it with a laptop for you? 3. When the new iPhone is not working, why did you take it home? Added on May 12, 2010, 1:41 am QUOTE(thefryingfox @ May 12 2010, 12:10 AM) i'm guessing some people are taking it sealed back home for profit gains instead of using it for themselves. Are u talking about me? If me, i can tell u that i not this kind of person u mention above. Why should i need to spend my saving on buying and selling my wanted thing? I am SURE that i not the person who wants to sell it off as sealed item to fetch a higher price. Whether u wan to believe it or not, is up to u. I cannot show u my Heart that what i really doing right now. No matter what, i just want to try my own iPhone in my life. If by following the process, they must ask you to test the phone and verify it. I know mine did ask and i tested on the spot for all the functions. I'm sure this guy with the problem wants to sell it off as sealed item to fetch a higher price. Very SURE! * This statement only apply if u are saying me. If not, sry This post has been edited by mikelim89: May 12 2010, 01:41 AM |
