I think those who got the email to collect the iPhone, are those who are existing Digi customers (priority).

Because I signed up for it too, but I didn't get any email (I'm not on Digi).

Why the FAQ no. 14 tells different thing from what we received from the confirmation email?.. hehehe..

Not consistent leh .. Then again, marketing strategy to get as many ppl they can on board for 24 to 36 mths... huhuhu

The confirmation email never said that Digi will sell outright... IMO it is a "ballpark estimate" notice for those intending to bring cash so people can anticipate how much to bring.

First of all they are definitely gonna face moderate sales for the iphones because they just pick the wrong time to launch it? launch during `ching meng` weekend.. when every1 is busy... don't these guys ever look at the calendar??  doh.gif

According to the article in The Star, "... (DiGi) is the second player after Maxis, which had exclusive rights for one year until yesterday...", so Mar 31 was the earliest they could launch it. Makes sense to want to launch a HAWT product as early as you can, IMO.

If i dont want any contract can i buy phone only in cash? Does digi have this option for people like me who doesn't have CC cry.gif

Digi iPhones are bound to 24 month contract with them. They show you the RRP for you to compare the price difference for the iPhone unit itself across different iDigi packages.

If I am not mistaken, maxis will sell you the "iPhone only" at RRP, but you must be maxis prepaid user / sign up for maxis prepaid. But do note, iPhone without data plan can end up burning a hole in your pocket.
