I went today to 1u and got my iphone on the spot. Actually for the pre order I was rejected because of under-age but in the end I still managed to buy the phone but under my guardian's name

QUOTE(ihawk98 @ Apr 1 2010, 09:29 PM) What do you mean by that? They will do extra charges when you tethered and it is not part of the unlimited internet They will give a yellow casing which I keep under my drawer This post has been edited by azrinarizz: Apr 1 2010, 09:46 PM |

QUOTE(ihawk98 @ Apr 1 2010, 09:51 PM) no la, the data you download etc will count as part of your data plan la. nothing extra charged if you are on the iDiGi plans or data unlimited plans, just counts against your data quota. Oh alright. So that means I can use it anytime I like and still be part of the unlimited usage But I think my quote will be used up within hours |

QUOTE(danilo5753 @ Apr 11 2010, 10:15 AM) Anyone sign-up for the digi plan already? I noticed that the Cellular data network icon is missing, I wonder where to enable Internet tethering with digi iphone hmm... You can go to settings>General>network>Internet TetheringIt will be available there when you get your iphone from Digi I don't think you can get the cellular data unless you reset the phone From what I read few pages back. Anyone can clarify? Is the digi iphone tied to only digi sim or other sim? |

QUOTE(chiahau @ Apr 11 2010, 03:27 PM) Duh.... So if it can use other sim. But I guess the 3G+Edge would work as well. Then what is the point of having cellular data? Told you already.. Unless you use maybank CC where the contract is for 36 months lo~ can use other sim de.. Tested and proven with my pal's set~ Come Malacca.. Got plenty of black summore.. But i want white so i could not care less with blacks XD Or is it otherwise. @taiko8148: If you subscribe to 24 months then it will be charge to 24 months It won't be you ask for 24 months and they give you 24+12 |

QUOTE(beck_ken @ Apr 11 2010, 06:47 PM) then yesterday, I go ask again at another Digi centre and the Sales Rep telling me that those 200 voice calls, 200 sms, 20 MMS already included into RM88.00, meaning anything more than that will add in to RM88.00...meaning if from above calculation the billing will be RM88.00 + RM27.00, so I have to pay the extra RM27.00 and the original RM88.00 This is the 88 ringgit planThat's why I was so confusing when they gave me the second answer. So which one is correct one? For example Digi RM88 package: Voice Call: 200 Minutes SMS: 200 MMS: 20 Internet: 1GB Lets say you use LESS than 200 calls and 200 sms. You will still need to pay rm 88. So you can count that it is free for you to use since you already paid rm 88. Even if you only use 1 sms and call for 2 minutes you still pay rm 88. Certain months you send out 300 sms. And it is 100 sms more than your plan quota So its extra 100 SMS x RM0.10 = RM10.00. That month you have to pay Rm88+10 for the extra usage That is all |

QUOTE(beck_ken @ Apr 11 2010, 07:28 PM) Yes. You are right. You don't want to know how much I asked to get the plan right before buying my iphone Sometimes you ask 1 thing, they tell you something Then you ask the same thing they tell you another thing |

QUOTE(DavidLMK @ Apr 11 2010, 10:27 PM) Wondering whether i should get the 3gs or maybe wait for the 4g to come out first.. because if i get the 3gs now and 4g comes to malaysia by year end, then i'll be making losses i guess.. because at that time 3gs price will drop for sure.. Any idea whether 4g will be coming to malaysia when its released? No one knows when the 4G will be out if there will be one. For now there is only the 3GS and 3G offered by digiSo it is your call. You can wait or just get the 3gs or 3g offer by our telco @badtz_mark: You are using the beta version offered by apple right? |

QUOTE(badtz_mark @ Apr 11 2010, 10:36 PM) Nope. I was offered to change to version 4.0 but I didn't want it yetStill don't have the guts to try it out QUOTE(Toastie @ Apr 11 2010, 11:26 PM) DiGi also can la. But at the same price as what Maxis is selling it for. So no difference if purchase outright. I never know that. I thought only Maxis you can do so. Then that is good news QUOTE(taiko8148 @ Apr 12 2010, 12:11 AM) He is a developer. You can also get the software from apple but it is in beta form |

QUOTE(bingozero @ Apr 12 2010, 10:29 AM) I don't think they will give anymore. They gave a yellow plastic type of casing to those who pre-order Didn't really like the yellow casing so I just put in my drawer |

QUOTE(tineagle @ Apr 12 2010, 03:05 PM) where got such thing white or black iphone is the same.. That was what I thought. Black and white is the samehe told you that to make you happy with your purchase? lol I can be the digi guy and say black iPhone got problem Black colour will absorb heat then cause the iPhone to explode or overheat So many people have the white and so far I have not heard of any reported problems @aztechx: The moment you put your sim, the data will be automatically configured I also don't know why there is no indicator when you off your phone and charge Normally I will plug in the charger then only I will switch off the phone |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Apr 12 2010, 03:44 PM) I also don't know why I turn off. Maybe because I am asleep and I charge my phone beside my bed QUOTE(aztechx @ Apr 12 2010, 03:58 PM) at the moment im totally clueless on how to make this phone work..need some crash course.. But when you active your phone from Digi, didn't they turn on the phone? same DiGi guy said "before u turn on ur phone, charge for 4 hours straight"..tried that and once i plugged in the phone turned on..confused,i tried turning it off and nothing happened.. When you turn off your phone and put the charger in, it will still charge. But you can't see it You can ask steve jobs why did he make the phone like that |

QUOTE(aztechx @ Apr 13 2010, 03:29 AM) anyone knows how i can check the status for my iphone usage? Like what iceggy said is right. You need to know when your bill comes every monthp/s:i cant believe how easy it is to get apps!!with wifi at home i wont touch the 1GB given by DiGi!!iphone rocks!! (i know u guys knew this longgggg ago..but..WooHoo!! Then you just reset the statistics and you are done. It is pretty easy but I am lazy to keep doing that every month Now I am just monitoring how much data I have used from digi over my period of 2 years with them |

QUOTE(shockk @ Apr 13 2010, 11:53 AM) i'm more concerned of not using the bundled voice/sms/mms. With that free sms given, I once in a while send picture messages to my mum. i never used mms before, and now in my iDigi plan, there is 40 free mms every month and i want to make sure i use it all up. None of my friends use the mms nowadays. Normally when you guys sign up for plans, you do monitor your monthly bill then pick Or pick the best out of everything to be on a safe side This post has been edited by azrinarizz: Apr 13 2010, 12:08 PM |

QUOTE(lemon^and^strawberry @ Apr 13 2010, 03:58 PM) Pretty good. I am happy with the speed. Can get up to 120kbps on file download With edge, I still say browsing is fine. Just slower. Sometimes if I do tethering, I use edge to browse |
