Guys, there is a little problem going on here.
You see, I've received an email from the Admission moments ago, content are as follows,

I am delighted to confirm that you have met the academic requirements for an offer of a place on Bachelor of Science with Honours Nutrition. This e-mail however, is only a notification of your offer and does not amount to a formal letter of offer.
In order to obtain your formal Unconditional Offer letter, you would need to do the following:
(1) Fill-up the accept/decline form to indicate your interest in obtaining your formal letter of offer and return the accept/decline form to the Admissions Office by post/e-mail/fax. The return of the accept/decline form with supporting evidence of payment must be received by the Admissions Office before (15-04-11), after which, this offer will lapse.
(2) Remit RM1000 as acceptance fee (a non-refundable deposit) to secure your place on the course.
Payment can be made by:
· Bank draft payable to 'The University of Nottingham in Malaysia Sdn Bhd'.
· Malaysian Local Crossed cheque payable to 'The University of Nottingham in Malaysia Sdn Bhd'.
· Bank transfers (telegraphic transfers) or direct bank-in to the following bank:
HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad
Main Branch
2 Leboh Ampang
50100 Kuala Lumpur
Bank Account Number:
301-879391-101
Swift code: HBMBMYKL
(Walk-in Applicant ONLY)
· Credit card payment - Visa/ Mastercard (only at the UNMC Finance Office in Semenyih)
Cash Payments are not acceptable
(3) Government or organisation sponsored students are exempted from paying this fee when they provide a letter which confirms their sponsorship details OR if the deposit of RM1000 has been made earlier, it will be refunded to you as soon as the University receives evidence of full funding for your studies.
Please be advised that should you not respond to this e-mail before (15-04-11), the University may not be able to guarantee you another offer if you appealed. A re-submission of application after this e-mail offer has been declined will also result in The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus’ right to reject the application.
Thank you, and hoping to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Admissions Office

I don't really understand (in fact quite confused

) now, anyone come across such cases before? Another friend of mine who is already studying in Nottingham just got the offer letter directly. 1K is not a small amount you know...
what that means is that, you have NOT formally applied for admission. However, it appears your qualification is adequate for them to accept you for that course...........
since you have not formally applied, they also cannot formally offer you a place....therefore to receive a formal offer, you will need to apply and pay your application fees.........
generally, if you meet the deadline stated, you should be given an official offer........
people who have formally applied and paid the fee will get a full offer straight off...........
