you know I realised something really eerie about the pricing of Nottingham U accommodation.
eg. "There is a separate meter for air-conditioning usage in the Single room with ensuite bathroom which will be read monthly and charged to the student.
Single Shared Bathroom in 5 Room Flat with A/C @ RM535 per student Single Shared Bathroom in 5 Room Flat @ RM 435 per student"
So.. it means you have to pay an extra of RM100 for the presence of your AC and its electricity will be charged otherwise. Since you will most likely be living in for 9 months. You're basically paying RM900 for the room O.O That could get me a new AC!
Do they change a new AC right after the previous student vacated.. I highly doubt it.
Why are we so easily be bullied by the management =(.. just like how our government bullies the citizens

QUOTE(Flynn @ Apr 21 2011, 08:24 AM) so i need to contact the university? any nottingham student here? i need your help... i hv no idea for the moment... Like everyone has said above. Getting the offer is free of charge. Accepting the offer letter requires a deposit of RM1000 and sending application to them is technically free. In my opinion, why not you try submitting the application and see what they reckon. Calling them would be no help probably because the person who is answering your call is not the one that is making decisions. From my experience, your application would first sent to your department and they would not only consider your academics results, your personal statements and reference also have a play in this, although the roles aren't as prominent. For instance, if the requirement is ABB and you have ABC, you might want to provide an explanation in your PS or by your referee. The next chapter is the Admission Officer, their role is to advice your Dean the amount of students the Nottingham is expecting and the amount of the offers given out; There are, sometimes, students turned down the offers they made. Hence RM1000 deposits. After all that jazz, the admission officer will finally happy to tell you if they are to offer you a place or not. Good luck with ye appliction! p/s The above "experience" are by my speculation only, it may not be the caseThis post has been edited by manthew: Apr 21 2011, 09:27 PM
