ive just got my xbox and i realise that my controller constantly gets disconnected, ive tried changing batteries and it still happens...funny thing is it happens more frequent when i play fighting games...any idea what could cause this?would be good to know if its a hardware issue or its a norm issue b4 i send it back to the shop

battery holer is loose...
small vibrate can disconnect the connection..
put small piece of paper at ur battery holder

i had the same problem. went back to the shop n got a new one in exchange. if u still have ur warranty, just go n get a new one!

Its a normal issue. Happened to all my controllers. You get a new one same thing going to happen eventually.

Weird, I played that 2 wireless controller for 2 years with battery pack and that issue never happened to me....

me also got no prob with it..but i do notice that itz a battery eater..worst than wii...so,better get a rechargeable batt..

i got the controller changed...the new 1 is worst then the older...the slightest shake will disconnects it. I think theres a QC prob somewhere..my other controller was ok..but so far it did dc once

yank out one or both of the spring coils in the controller from its socket so there's less space for the battery to move around. and don't worry about breaking the springs when u yank it out, its sturdy enough

u sure you had an ori controller? i had 5 controller total, so far none of them have this problem...

try changing again? since you paid for it.

Hmm...my controller works just fine. No disconnection ever. (Unless i move out of range). I think it's a defect, better change it quick while still got warranty.

Btw, how long can the battery last? Mine is maybe 1.5 months...still running...(but of course, i don't game everyday).

you probably charged full on the first day, wait for 1 month 15 days then you start playing

I'm sure its not an isolated case , there are many video's on youtube showing people how to fix this problem

yea theres a fix on this..use tape to "thicken" the area...but since its a new unit and day1 itself its giving probs i thought it would be good to change..

the shop told me to bring in my machine n controller next visit :S

I did the same , using the tape , and it works like a charm !

ok finally solved the problem with my controller..wat the shop dude did was to use a small screw driver..the ones u use for ur specs..and wat he did was to push out the metal contacts inside the battery holder/slot and also the tiny lil metal piece ontop(outside) the holder..do becareful tho.its not suppose to be sticking out too much

My controller also having the same issue, the 2nd controller that I bought so far no such issue. After some checking, confirm it is the battery holder loosen already, now using paper stucking method, will consider to take back and ask for replacement since it still under warranty.

I jsut get one and I stuff the entire space up with a duct tape.

That makes the battery supar hard to sit, but also will not disconnect after locked in properly

i already put a selo tape,also the controller disconnect(it has 2 bar left)

then i changed to a new battery(4 bar) ..works well..

could be the battery ..

the indicator never accurate wun. if the controller always off by itself then time to change battery.
