yea. Dec 10 was the first sitting by the NEW examiner.
He did it. He managed to kill most of us.

I left P5. Thinking to work and self study.
I just wanna know the syllabus changes.

P5 now is more on theory questions.
*
I heard from my friend he come out something out of syllabus. For eg, normally Performance Measurement is gurantee question and more than 50% for every sitting, but last sitting only around 10%. I think this is unfair to student if he didn't write any articles to talk about his requirement.

Btw, no now only la, even last time 3.3(old syllabus) or P5 oso more on theory & application question. Calculation is less than 30%.

need some advice.. fail p2 twice ..
if now i go for haneef class for 2 month is that worth?
*
Haneef is one of the famous P2 lecturer in KL area. His teaching method for both consol and FRS is very good & easy for understanding. But when come to exam, Haneef consol method too slow. Some of my friend study under him can't finish the 35m consol question on time.

Btw, every lecturer oso got pro and con. If you prefer understanding, Haneef is a good choice.

P6 needs more practical experience. All basic things from F6 last year.
*
Yes, for P6 examiner will expert student is a tax adviser. More application question like advise, tax planning, tax implication will be come out on this paper. Examiner already mentioned calculation is not important, but some student make a mistake and go to concentrate on the calculation...

After failing P1 for the 2nd time altho just passed P2 on 1st attempt, is it advisable to take re-take P1 + P3 + P4 + P5?

Although I know I shouldn't try to rush it but I'm really determined to make this my final semester. But at the same time I also worry my decision to rush might backfire.

Or should I just drop P4 and only do it as part time studies next semester?

need advice cuz I don't wanna make a decision that might backfire.
*
I think it is not advise to take so many together in one sitting in P level. Although P1 & P3 not hard, but you need to work very hard for all these 4 papers. P4 is hard and P5 become harder now. May be max you take 3 1st in tis sitting..

hi looking for p3 revision classes in kl. can someone please recommend a lecturer/college?
*
Try Parmindar (KSA) or Michael (MCO)

Just fyi, if u just plan to take Parmindar P3 revision class, better consider sign up both RI and RE. RI is summary of normal class and suitable for any last minute study student. RE is totally Q & A section.

right now i am going to graduate under my CAT and proceed to ACCA
but actually I don't really plan to be an accountant/auditor in my future
somewhere I get to know that I can apply for BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting after i pass my P1-P9
the problem is....how is the value to this certificate?

nowadays we need at least a degree cert for living,so may I use this degree cert, counted as I am a degree holder and apply to any jobs that required degree ?

need some advise from senior

THANKS : )
*
Firstly, study ACCA doesn't mean you must be auditor or accountant in future. A lot of thing can do for ACCA graduate like tax adviser, financial analyst, biz analyst, corporate finance and even do your own biz. But it is good to start work in audit firm for 1st job bcos in audit line, you might got chance to see a lot of difference challenge thing.

Secondly, once you grad ACCA, OBU won't be add value to your future but just add degree for you. OBU also not easy to do and need to spend a lot of time to find information. You need to get average F1 to F9 by more than 66m, then baru can get 1st class degree.

Lastly, my advise is not spend too much time on OBU and concentrate more on P level paper. If really once to do OBU also, try "Zero cost method"1st, if really can't then baru go to college find mentor.

Where is this college bandar and PAAC? And comparing KSA and MCO's tuition fees, which 1 is cheaper? Furthermore, which has more international students(foreigners)? KSA or MCO? Cause I'd like to meet more foreign people @@

Thank you very much in advance.
*
If you prefer cheaper, Kolej bandar is a cheaper in KL. Btw, I strongly recommend you depend on lecturer to choose college. Bcos not every college oso got famous lecturer for all paper. For eg, if u go for F4, then consider Vikness at Kolej Bandar.

Talk about more international students, I think KSA will have more international student but not ACCA. But what is the purpose u prefer meet more foreign ppl? ACCA course is 6 month, every sitting u oso will meet new friend.

My advise is choose lecturer, not choose college.

So the job opportunities are just limited to this 5 (investment banker or a stock analyst or a financial contributor or auditor or accountant)?

Which would guarantee the highest salary?

And how much is the maximum salary that I can reach in 5 years time after graduating from ACCA? Thank you very much guys.
*
ACCA graduate can do a lot of thing, not neccessary limited to this 5 (investment banker or a stock analyst or a financial contributor or auditor or accountant)? Of course, it is advise to start work as audit.

FYI, there is no guarantee the highest salary for any job. It is depend on what u expect or what you want in future. Just some lecturer like Andrew Pang, Dr Parmindar, Choong Kwai Fatt and etc, they can become so rich today even earning more than Public Listed Co's Financial Controller. The reason is they are working very hard. Beside teaching ACCA and degree course, some of them oso have their own biz or run seminar or even become advisor.

That is what my friend study in Sunway college says. Outside college also applies this rule?
*
ACCA is external exam, college only provide tuition class. All the exam rules are set by ACCA, not Sunway.

i dun see any sunway lecturer stated there but KSA..hmm..
is it better i study at KSA than sunway?
i mean P level paper..
*
Actually it is depend on what you expect/want from college or lecturer.

KSA/OIC environment just like tuition center, but provide strong term lecturer. Sunway provide good study environment, but some of their lecturer so so only la.

Good lecturer doesn't mean gurantee you will pass, Good study environment also can't gurantee you will get high marks, but Good student go away also can study. For me, last time I'm part time student and very lazy also, normally study last minutes, so Sunway not suitable for me.......haha.

juz want to say, price of BPP books has increased substantially. from RM 120 per textbook became RM 160 per textbook now (UK variant). while international variant textbook is from RM 90 to RM 120 now. i got the price info from mc orange college. i juz don't know how much discount orange gonna offer to their existing students
BPP keeps emphasizing they are the only ACCA approved platinum study partner and examiner reviewed content...even Kaplan and GTG are only having gold status o.O
*
Call to MCO ask lo.

Btw, u so hardworking to buy text book for study. Last time when I study ACCA, I never touch any text book even college give to me FOC, except for 3.2/P6 Advance Tax

coz kiasu kiasi apa apa pun scare mah, so i study textbook as well lo
coz some lecturers' notes are really comprehensive one, so don't need textbook lo
the textbook surely helps, if u really study it seriously and practise a lot
*
Borrow from friend and photostat lo....will be save your cost.

But some time study text book need to spend a lot of time, full time student ok la, part time student don't have so much time.

respect copyright? Your mean you never photostate anything including lecturer study notes from friend? But as a students, I don't see any problem photostat text book. The most important is pass exam.
