Just got myself a Sony RMVL610....nice...comes with Macro functions too, multiple component controller at one touch, enough memory capacity for all the learning ever needed, only thing is no back light...controlling 2 dozen buttons in the dark taken getting use too.
Very satisfied with the quality, more better than Philips...
Never tried Logitech before, dun fancy any remote that cost more than Rm200...well maybe not yet, wait till my kids grow bigger...right now, got toddler around...you know how it goes...one drop and bye bye to the remote.

Got it from the garage sale The forummer bought it from SG. Practically new, maybe he didn't need those advance features of the remote, I just love it..can control multiple components at one touch, almost unlimited storage space for the learned buttons, two beam IR for wider and more accurate coverage...moreover, I got a few Sony stuff that matches the remote....thanks for the recommendation SiriuslyCold But I surely love to get big LCD remotes...wait till my kids grow bigger first. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...sal+remote+sonyThis post has been edited by azbro: Mar 2 2010, 08:54 AM

QUOTE(ahcheap @ Mar 4 2010, 01:14 PM) Quite expensive, if malfunction then very 'sayang' .. most of time it will malfunction when it is dropped, mine I paste alot of sponge on them for extra protection.

QUOTE(SiriuslyCold @ Mar 7 2010, 11:10 AM) true. but, oh sooo convenient. It's slightly more expensive than SG99, but RM279 with warranty is probably safer option than getting one from Singapore On the other hand, I just saw on Sony SG the VL610 is SG$89, and that doesn't represent the actual price of the remote (US$25 on Amazon, ~US$20 street price if you can kirim from someone going US) At SG89, the 525 is a much better value proposition. I have not seen them here, but Philips also has a range of universal remote controls ranging from SG$50 to $100 at big electronics stores (Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Courts etc) and Philips Malaysia say they have it here also. Yeah...Sony universal remote very expensive in SG, wonder why in US its much - much cheaper, lucky I got mine at slightly cheaper price considering it is 2nd but looks new since the forummer not using it. Take note abt Philips so - call Universal Remote...those that are able to LEARN functions are no more in production / no stock, except for the Rm400++ Prestigo series above.
