QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Feb 24 2010, 04:00 PM) 40 cents, if delisting, still represent 100% loss as well. People said some stocks at 0.10 is very cheap, max lose also 0.10, but it drops to 0.06, still a whooping 40% loss. It is the total amount of money invested the matter, not the unit share price figure. 40 cents can be very expensive as well than like Tanjong at 18.00. |

Our raw materials cost keep on increasing lately from suppliers, whenever ask, why raise again.
Answer is always like China importers come to market to 'sapu' stocks, so lead to supply tightening, so price needs to increase again. Whenever China importer buy, then surely causing price to be firm one. This post has been edited by cherroy: Feb 24 2010, 04:49 PM |

QUOTE(kochin @ Feb 24 2010, 05:17 PM) carslberg 18cents only? hoping for their special divvy. Carlsberg's div is not as much as last time out already, market share being eroded by Tiger Beer. oops. looks like inclusive of special liao. 7.5 + 10.5SP was expecting more. the good old days of 30cents! Even with the acquisition and inclusion of Carlsberg Sg, revenue did increase but profit figure wise still below last time out. Full year annualised of Q 6.57 cents wil be around 27 cents, which is the realistic expectation of future dividend. Last time can go as high as 40 cents. PER work out to be around 17x, not that cheap. While Guiness div is expected to be 40 cents. |

QUOTE(VyvernS @ Feb 25 2010, 04:25 PM) Yeah...the market very jittery...In fact Uncle Ben saved the market last night. I am fear they are going to repeat the 2003-2004 mistake again, that let interest rate too low for too long which is root of 2008 financial crisis. Had they not focused on his "keeping interest rates low for an extended period of time" statement, all else would have zoomed in on the "disappointing" January home sales (309k instead of 342k) and drive the market down. |

QUOTE(VyvernS @ Feb 25 2010, 04:36 PM) Hope not... This time can package others thing like insurance, gold deriative product, commodities then sell it. History may repeat itself but just hope that everyone learn the lesson...Don't borrow so much, don't keep interest rates low for too long, and don't package mortgages into some type of fund to sell History always repeating itself one, due to human greed nature. See how people goreng share again despite being burned severely during the crisis. Everytime crisis come in different form, and always out of most people expectation. Near future may be not, but leave the interest rate at too low too long, it has high chance brewing some risky stuff coming out. Woot, just this afternoon talking about potential new crisis in the future.
Now, people focus on whether got Greece CDS issue. From CNBC, QUOTE Fed to Examine If Wall Street Is Betting On Default by Greece http://www.cnbc.com/id/35581471 My view, CDS should be highly regulated. |

QUOTE(David_Brent @ Feb 26 2010, 01:36 AM) Added on February 26, 2010, 1:44 am CDS is lightly regulated as you well know.....The speculators are 'probing' Greece...next will be the rest of the "PIGS" and The UK which is in a precarious fiscal position .....This is like a replay of the Soros/Mahathir hand-bag battle of 1997...IMHO The difference this time is that the speculators have the upper hand.... It is some sort like I buy you a PA or life insurance, but beneficiary is me. |

QUOTE(chyaw @ Mar 1 2010, 03:21 PM) fully agree. I'm sure those that bought panamy knows that Q4 is div season for panamy. why dump now? How much? My memory lost liao, can't remember something that almost a decade. Cherroy! How much Panamy you got? If not mistaken, there is once time, its price sink to RM8.xx after reporting some dismay financial result due to washing machine department not doing good, that pull down the whole number, after disposing the factory/department, then result become better. <-- can't remember quite correctly, something like that. |
