Clocking on for work.....

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Holdings Bhd reported a strong set of earnings in the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2009, recording net profit of RM802.89 million, up 152% from the RM318.59 million a year ago.

It said on Tuesday, Feb 23 that for 4Q09, the net profit of RM803 million was 10.5% higher than 3Q09. Its 4Q09 revenue was RM2.78 billion versus RM1.88 billion in 4Q08.Earnings per share were 22.73 sen versus 9.19 sen. It also proposed a one-for-one bonus issue.

Sold mine off at 12.18 during the GREAT FEBRUARY 9TH PANIC and doubled up and got back in today at 12.58.....

Wah...about time I had a bit of luck 'cos I have done some really dumb things recently.....
Did buy KKB last month though.....pity I didn't get more...... **

I always concern about this counter's rather low trading volume though....

I didn't "dump" it....

....I made a tactical decision to divest myself of my holdings in SUPERMX temporarily in order to focus on more strategic, higher yielding opportunities.....

Well - my ABP was 3.6x in October so I had made a good profit on it..... I held it through the drop from 6.x to 5.56 and then decided my cardiologist fees could not be covered by the potential gains.....

I'd buy it back if we have a scary moment and certain counters get panic sold-down....definitley.....

It's so difficult to sell a counter and then sit there seeing it shoot up - I hate that part of investing.....especially if you've already had a good run with the counter....

I dumped all my Tony and Alicia stuff as well....got out with a bit of profit but was not convinced by all the fan-dancing from Alicia and worry about the strategy of hotel investments in the current climate......

I'm not entirely sure that Dali really knows what he's talking about and I'm not really convinced by his mates (Martin Wossisname??) he's roping into his next seminar - TBH.

I just watched a great (3 part) documentary series from BBC done by Lex van Dam called: "Millionaire Trader". Showed eight novice traders running a London hedge fund trading the FTSE at the height of the crisis in 2008. Really well done especially about the psychological pressures we all face when dealing with losses/gains or selling/buying too early.

You should try download it.....very therapeutic!!

P.S. The eight amateurs beat the "professionals" - although they all lost money (at that time)..
