QUOTE(Demonic Wrath @ Mar 16 2010, 01:24 PM)
Yes, it is why TM has said that 20% users using 80% bandwidth last time. It is still the same now. What I'm saying is that don't have expectations that we can get full bandwidth when downloading off international contents.

But looking at the bright side, at least we can have better connections locally. And users can also share files e.g. patches, freeware, applications, drivers, trailers, through torrent community. That would be fast. In fact, it should be encouraged that everyone shares file through torrent. That would save our international bandwidth link.

Just a suggestion here, maybe LYN can host legal torrents for drivers and patches so everyone can share?
*
good idea but im afraid it will be misused lol, tm really need to upgrade its international bandwitdh instead of giving to other isp

I think the problem that is experienced by HSBB trial users currently about hangs of connections, is caused by the router itself. I had experienced this last year, after changed to Belkin all things works flawlessly. biggrin.gif

Im not sure about incosistency of speeds, maybe its the proof that they have bad or congested lines. They should use different lines, not the same as Streamyx and I wonder why are they planting fiber optics whilst they dont use it?

Look at my screeny above, they gonna reveal HSBB and VDSL2. wink.gif

Oh yeah, VDSL2 can go up to 24Mbps FYI. If the condition is right and it still use copper right?

HSBB is the one using fiber optics, the speed wont reduced regardless of congestion of the network.

Most TM staffs are clueless if you ask for specific location availability. I tried many times but receive same answer with different words.
