in my oppinion, the price will be standard because of the product standardization and in indonesia, they have their own custom luthier which is way cheaper than the mass production and you can get to choose what you want to do with the guitar and they can even replicate it.

i think they make squiers in indonesia. hmm.gif stuff not manufactured there shouldnt be much cheaper. the hassle of bringing it on the plane defeats the purpose anyway

yeah slightly cheaper.. but no high end stuff lah coz they also need to import in from US/europe

but they can sure make awesome clones! That is as good or even better than the real one.

Anyway, where to buy guitars the cheapest ah?

I'll be travelling to London end of the month, so i thought if stuff there is cheap even after conversion I'd want to buy a Bass guitar.

Actually , i am at Indonesia now ..

Factories are in Jawa & Bali
Retail shops are in Jakarta ...

I think ...Malaysia cheaper .
The only things that are cheaper here are - Yamaha & Cort .
They also have some local guitar brands and local amp brands , i don't know how to compare the price .

Thats about it .

Cheaper for sure. However I never like the quality of any music instruments made in Indon. Felt so wrong!

Elaboration? Sounds like you've got your hands on quite a number of Indonesian axes.

I'm not an expert, nevertheless here is what I've experienced:

I'm ref to the Yamaha Grand Piano, the C3. Couple years back before Yamaha decides to produce the lowest range of the Grands in Indon, it was manufactured in Japan.
The price was slightly higher, about 5g's but you can just feel the woods and workmanship is different. The soundboard however, I wasn't sure where it was made. Certainly sounds slightly mellow compared to Japs.

From my experience la:
Jakarta nye price lebih kurang dgn KL je,not worth going ah
Better go Singapore like that ahaha

Bandung nye price cheaper,u can get an Epiphone Les paul custom for rm1.6k and a Fender highway 1 for rm3.5k

But i think,if your goin to Indonesia,
might aswell build a custom guitar there
at Bandung got custom guitar maker called Stranough
nice customs there biggrin.gif
