Not add fragrant in the 2T, that will damage the engine loh. Usually what they do is add all kinds of stuff in the exhaust pipe. I've heard of cooking oil, hair gel, kicap, sesame oil and all kinds of stuff... when they rev, all the white smoke with funny smell come out. I don't do this one.

machai_world: Good sharing. I heard about a local assembly plant for European car company, every new engine is 'break-in' by running them at 5.5-6 k rpm for 15minutes...
sleyer: your bike acceleration still ok? maybe your speedometer is accurate one? I wish bike manufacturers give a 'top speed' warranty. I remember last time, 125Z is guaranteed to hit 130kph. |

How about the rest? Added on May 17, 2010, 12:25 ambizzy, LC use electronic RPM or engine drive one? RGV I know electronic, the counter is connected by wiring one. This post has been edited by alexei: May 17 2010, 12:25 AM |

QUOTE(Calvin.K.B @ May 20 2010, 06:16 PM) Calvin, good luck. make sure if you miss this TT session, go to the AGM and win the president seat, ok?ALRIGHT GUYS! It's friday soon... can't wait for Saturday 9am. I went to service my RGV change EO to motulGold 10W-40... change rear sprocket to original size, new chain... Then, went to start my TZM after 6 months didn't touch it... guess what? it only took 3 kicks to start it. But poor thing has leaking carburator... may not be able to bring this one to TT... As for the TT, looks like we have a big crowd. For those with experience, can help to mention some ground rules? I remember this one only: 2-stroke bikes take last position... Added on May 20, 2010, 11:43 pm QUOTE(charge-n-go @ May 20 2010, 10:25 PM) Today I tried a modified Belang, stock engine with modified exhaust and carburetor. If street mode from low to high rpm sure my bike win la, bcoz Belang seriously lack of torque below 7000rpm. Belang is using FXR150 engine, right? But I am very impressed with its high rpm performance (8k to 11krpm), my LC cannot fight at all in terms of acceleration in drag mode. What about it's handling? I was previously thinking of buying an FX125 DOHC and mod with FXR/Belang block... but FX price is still ex, ~3k... forget it. This post has been edited by alexei: May 20 2010, 11:43 PM |

yeah... looks a bit like that CPI GTR scooter... then I look again, the 2-stroke exhaust pipe and the gearbox cover. Plus, I own one RGV which is very similar.

really good session, TT susu 'kao'.
We all had good spirit today. RGV can climb the hills but on straight road still cannot fight with LC... don't worry 8zelk8, EX5 is a moped to be reckoned with. Patience with time and you can really have your first bike with pride. Be it LC, Belang or FX. I gotta post pics later... |

Thanks Charge and Aaron for letting me testride a modded and stock LC. These bikes can really feel the oomph just by opening the throttle slightly. Took me a while getting used to... not to mention the gearing and the higher riding position. Engine definitely quieter.
Btw, how much fuel you all used after the ride? My bike sure walloped a lot... I think something like half tank, ~4 ringgit already. Especially after the detour I took with Charge, today go petrol station refill 7.50 ringgit liao. |

Interesting rumor this one... Would like to see Yamaha make something on par with Suzuki Belang. I imagine Suzuki had the FX series for dunno how many years already loh... 4-stroke performance bikes.
FZ150 or the LC135... six gear full disc-brakes please. Something for the Yamaha fans to brag against Honda CBR\Suzuki Shogun\Belang-R.... In short, for riding performance, 6 gear better than 4. For reliability and maintenance, having the same amount of space, 4 gear is better than 6. Added on May 25, 2010, 12:11 amItsuki, you got bike now? Next time Penang TT join lah? 15-38 sprocket, if compared to stock, is it 'heavier'? I noticed, on my bike, when I used a smaller rear sprocket, from 42 to 35, the engine vibrate very bad...

The 100/200 thing is the intake and exhaust cam overlapping angle. Refer to the pic below... there are two circles:
1. The outer circle is the intake angle. 2. The inner circle is the exhaust angle. The different overlapping angles gives different engine characteristics that C&G has been talking about. Remember, these angles are also relative to the piston position, marked by TDC and BDC. As for the gear ratio, it's the pairs of gears they use in the gear box. Gears comes in pairs, one driven from the piston\crankshaft, the other go to the sprocket and move the tyre. Depending on the ratio of these 2 gears, you get the gearing ratio. Together with the final drive ratio, which is the "ratio of sprocket sizes", you get the effective engine RPM to wheel speed ratio. In a way, with all these maths, you can sum up engine RPM = speed km\h. Hope this explains. If you like it, copy and paste it in a text file somewhere... haha. Added on June 3, 2010, 1:01 am QUOTE(Itsuki_Kun @ Jun 3 2010, 12:37 AM) Oh, PJ & MJ means pilot jet and main jet of a carburator. See second image I post below. If you go to motor shop and look at UMA racing, those carbs comes with different sizes of jets to let you play. Have a look, it's free.
