QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 23 2010, 12:26 AM) finejava: Welcome back! thanks for the reply bro... looks like i'm gonna have to eat grass for the next few months already... #1 is a lot duller than #2, why is that? Like #3 but #4 could've been far more zoomed/cropped. #7 from a lower angle and nearer point exaggerates size. lwliam: Nice! Where was this? braindead_fr3ak: Hmmm, I am not feeling your closeup shots. #2 needs fill light to the eyes stat. #3 looks like a wedding shot. wingster: Wow! That is something you don't see every day. alex_cyw1985: Nice #1 but #2 should be shot from directly in front to get a consistent pattern. Crop #4 to a square. #9 also from direct in front better. Other shots not so interesting. achew: Not quite feeling it for the wallet shot or the portrait. Portrait is shot with a long lens hence the people in the background are nearly the same size as her. hazril: Good shot, albeit overexposed. Sheep319: The bokeh and slant does not make it look appetizing. e-jump: Nice! This is what the Sigma 28mm F1.8 is made for - closeups that look real. (Of course, stopping down would've helped.) scph50004: Cheap macro - Sony 30mm F2.8 DT Macro SAM - around RM7xx. Meant for food and product macro, not the insect kind of macro. Cheap wide is the Samyang 8mm F3.5 diagonal fisheye for RM12xx. VeRoN_7: Interesting #1 but the choice of background is very important to making that kind of effect. #3 is almost there, try a different flower. #4 is fresh, well done! Very unique and you have caught the fountain in almost its best colors. |

QUOTE(wingster @ Feb 23 2010, 01:20 AM) if really wanna have an entry-level of Macro lens ... well there weren't available but the Macro Lens Adapter ... Raynox 250 may serve you for macro photography in a more budget way .... thinking about that as well... can i use that on any telephoto lens? including my SAL1855 kit lens? how does it work? |

QUOTE(shootkk @ Feb 23 2010, 01:06 PM) The 28mm focal length is NOT WIDE when used on an APS-C body which is what the A3xx range of body is. Try turning your kitlens to 28mm and look through the viewfinder. Do you find that to be wide? i see... thanks for the advice! sticking to my kit lens then... or buy the samyang 8mm fish eye lens from cjlai... On an APS-C you would need somewhere around 16mm focal range to be considered wide. 18mm on your kitlens is acceptable as wide but I personally prefer the 16mm on APS-C. You could try the 11-18mm for a UWA but that lens is not cheap. Wide angle and ultra wide angle lenses never come cheap. This post has been edited by scph50004: Feb 23 2010, 01:18 PM |
