so i guess her cuteness actually suppress how noisy/grainy the pic actually is LOL
im interested to get something better-by-miles in noise control over my a300, as mounting a f58 makes my gear heavy.. is 5-series an answer, or go to 8/9-series instead? or just polish my skill+stamina and stick to a300 w/ f58 |

QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 20 2010, 09:45 PM) e-jump: It obviously was very dark - get her into a spot with light. Yes the 5-series will serve you well with its better high ISO performance. noted..i need to learn timing and situation awareness more.. currently im inclining to a850 for FF since rumor going on that s700s in an aps-c. anyway, went to iCity last night. ![]() ![]() ![]() more -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/e-jump/sets/72157623353162781/ *Sigma 28F1.8 C&C are most welcomed *1st landscape attempt This post has been edited by e-jump: Feb 21 2010, 05:14 PM |

QUOTE(ieR @ Feb 21 2010, 10:15 PM) No it will NOT. i dunno where u get that logic(or speculation that A700"s" will be FF) LOL. A7xx APS-C, it will not pass the rm5k mark. if 6 month later, it might drop to 4k+ margin. and it wont be FF no matter how. i guess u are talking bout A9xx.... and, it might be around A900 first released price. but that is still about a whole year of wait. but u sure cursing that, A850/900 wont have the A7xx functions when the A7xx release... stick a while longer to see what A7xx has to offer. Panasweep anyone? |

QUOTE(wingster @ Feb 23 2010, 12:13 AM) nice shot!! but I prefer focus her much more than focus on the M16 Rifle .... i'm actually spot AF on her eye.. yeah, the rifle seems clearer than her faceQUOTE(albnok @ Feb 23 2010, 12:26 AM) e-jump: Nice! This is what the Sigma 28mm F1.8 is made for - closeups that look real. (Of course, stopping down would've helped.) Thanks for your opinion..i sometimes knocked her down for getting too close lol.. thats 1:2.9 for me >_< trying few stop down QUOTE(hkhk @ Feb 23 2010, 12:53 AM) nice one.. at F1.8 there is no obvious purple fringe? im not sure about purple fringe thingie, tempted to get this... maybe because its dark.. i will try on broad daylight.. or pass to albnok for testing since he knows what needs to be tested btw ![]() F8, iso800, 1/200, HSS strobing ![]() F5.6, iso400, 1/200, HSS strobing *click for larger* |

QUOTE(lugiamcg @ Feb 23 2010, 02:41 PM) F58 produces 58GN particles as 42 to only 42GN particles. So your subject will exposed to more radiation on F58 over F42 LOL j/k but yeah, the F58 produce higher flash power over F42 The numbering is actually the GN(?) rating of flash power |

QUOTE(lugiamcg @ Mar 6 2010, 11:26 PM) hmm, u mean this? LOL, you can just stand in the middle of overhead bridge to try I never get a chance on trying such shots Anyway, juz 2 questions, at the right side, there's a ray of red light...where does it come from? and, got star filter? A1 : i think its from a bus or lorry roof light indicator thingie A2 : I just use normal UV filter. Basically if you stop down the Aperture to F1x and below, you'll began to get the star effect anyway, i think i messed up the WB.. I'm using autoWB, and manual focus to infinity |

QUOTE(Kul | Mo0 @ Mar 7 2010, 12:05 AM) e-jump : IMO, About 4~5 seconds is more than enough le. (: eh, 4-5secs enough?so the one that exceeds 15secs are only for buildings/city lightings? ok. next time i'll try shorter shutter period. these shots i just randomly use BULB and manual shutter release. I should get a shutter remote trigger as well LOL |
