are you referring to 5870 Desktop variant?

because 5870 Mobility cannot fit into M15x casing. not even its heatsink sweat.gif
*

well , i know my frens Sager 15.6' lappy which came with a 280gtx , he change it to the 5870 after 2 months and its running perfectly now .

well sager is well known of having massive heatsink, so its not surprising that it can fit 5870 in there.

where and how much did he brought 5870?
*
he said 2k++ after convert to RM , not too sure

if ur just getting base specs for m15x , rather go for the G-73 , for ur gaming needs perspective la, much more powerful and cheaper -.-" unless u WANT an Alienware for design and bragging rights xP then by all means.

I didn't buy an M15x for the style and design at all, I just wanted a good gaming rig.
Does that mean I spent money wrong? ._.

depents on 1's perspective, nobody is wrong biggrin.gif

asus that model is 17 inch my dear.. no one compares laptop with different size.

if u wanan compare, get a 15 inch and compare smile.gif

asus that model can be compared with 17 inch m17x
*
im just saying if he wants a desktop replacement for hardcore gaming , and doesnt wanna spend so much , why not get 1 value for money d ? the gtx240 probably last bout at most 1 year on games on high settings. And the usual case is people dont compare 17 with 15 cuz 17 is sure to be much more exp and portability , which in this case are not much difference biggrin.gif
but , as i also said , if he WANTS an AlienWare , by all means xP id also had that mind set , choosing the design/performance over value/performance , AW vs Sager , and i ended up with AW for the bragging rights. Only thing difference here is our budget i guese.

you might want to survey Sager gaming laptop too if the word 'Alienware'  don't mean anything to you. smile.gif
*
ya , sager NP8690 , RM5.7k comes with GTX285 or RM5.6k which comes with ATI 5870
why 5870 cheaper dont ask me , ask mucro asia -.-"

A bit late for that. I saw a Sager that had a GTX280 on its 15" and my heart sank.
Please excuse me, I'm going to cry.

its 285 not 280 icon_idea.gif

There was an error while AlienFX Controller was communicating with the computer. This might have been caused due to a problem with the hardware or the software.Try these solutions to correct the issue, in the following order:

Hi guys. I wonder if I can ask question about Alienware Dell delivery here. Please excuse me if I'm not at the right thread to post. I'm planning on buying an M15x within this week, and I'm quite concerned about the delivery process, so I would like to request to those who have bought one recently to share with me if got any problem with the service/delivery etc... Thanks! smile.gif
*
so far for the m15x and m17x users , i think the longest wait was 2 weeks after payment is cleared which i felt reasonable , but the wait would be like hell la xP
as for the m11x , afew was delayed , erm due to shortage of parts or what so ever

U should not have problems with delivery after ur payment is cleared bro , cheers biggrin.gif
