the warranty is not international warranty rite? if somethin happens to ur laptop but ur not in malaysia, u cant send it for repair under warranty?

btw guys, can i still upgrade my warranty even after i made my order? like now. i wanna upgrade my warranty to 3 years. isit possible?
wanna change to international warranty since 1 year is only local. |

but now i still havent get my unit and status is "work in progress".
call my SA on monday to ask them upgrade isit? and pay again via maybank debit? Added on February 20, 2010, 9:34 pmbro, but checked the warranty page jz now, it says complete cover is only for asia pacific users. means if anythin happen when ur not in asia pacific, dell will not be responsible for it. so how? yea, i just hope the SA allows me to upgrade my warranty without the need to cancel and re-order a new unit again.

how long after u receive ur unit then u upgrade to the 3 years warranty? few months later? or just fresh from the box? |

i cant access as well. mayb they are updating the database? who knows.. hopefully my status doesnt move till monday, cuz if it moves i bet it wil be harder for me to ask SA to upgrade my warranty. |

LOL.. its not late lar, sa promised to deliver around middle of march. but i already ask him to speed up the process.
i try get a free targus bag. haha. really hope can upgrade my warranty. but most probably need to pay the 1k. cuz i already made the order.. |

no, i nvr knew that 3 years warranty automatically means itnernational warranty. so to me tat time, i tot no use also if got 3 years warranty. if something happens to the laptop in us, then the warranty cant do much also.
now that i know there is such thing called international warranty after upgrading it to 3 years, i wanna straight away upgrade it. haizz. |

but i asked someone from dell xps studio. he said after he received his one from a retail shop, the salesman asked him to call dell within a week if wanna upgrade warranty. btw, urs reprocess take how long? u only decided to upgrade after the status is at shipping isit? then they reprocess starting all over again from "work in progress"? |

yea, i think they can change it. i already email 3rd time and not receiving any reply.. DARN!
i just hope i can upgrade without the need to cancel my order. or the 1 year premier service also an international service, then i don wanna extend anymore. how come until now dell status site still cannot access? UNLESS, if they change the component of the laptop if i change my warranty. tats y.. otherwise they can just change the database, tats all. if not, maybe like i said, 3 years warranty comes with better components? who knows...
