Dell Care Premium [add RM 652.00 or RM 54/month-1]
can anyone explain to me what is this? lolz.. why is this more expensive than this: 3-year Premier Service with 3-year CompleteCover [add RM 473.00 or RM 39/month-1] Accidents can happen. Upgrade to full cover and total peace of mind. since 3 year means international warranty, what does dell care premium means.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Feb 21 2010, 09:57 PM) No I didn't. It was a great risk taken on my part, seeing how the "broken hinge" problem was rampant at that time. Fast forward till now, still good as new. It is out of warranty now, and even out of production too, so it's "run at your own risk" already. EDIT: My order changed to "Uplift" already, on the 20th. Meaning it is on its courier agent now, on its way here. Hopefully by tomorrow or Tuesday, or by the latest early Wednesday, coz I need to get it before I'm flying to Adelaide. Long stay there too so can benchmark and play all I want while I'm there in that dead town. so meaning to say your old m15x was a great unit very durable and long lasting. i just wonder this new m11x from dellienware can be as durable as the old alienware laptops. so, what do you think? do u suggest m11x buyers to extend their warranty or let it be one year? what about yours? isit one year warranty or 3 years for your m11x?

okay, your m15x still with you right? okay another question. what do you think, just your opinion:
lets say: if Dell said i have to cancel off my order and make a new order+pay the penalty (if there is any) just because i wanted to extend my warranty, what do you think they are up to? they wanted me to cancel this one and order a new one, could it be because they are assembling some better components for those who ordered 3 years warranty? as for the one year units, they give components that have higher risk of having some issue after a year. so what do you think?
unless if dell says, okay no problem, u just need to top up another rm 473 to extend your warranty. otherwise, they will give me a mindset telling me that they are giving better components for 3 year warranty.

tmr first question gonna ask them is whether this 1 year warranty is an international warranty. if not, then second question would be can i extend my warranty without the need of canceling the order. if my sa says yes and i need to cancel, i will be questioning him why. after all, my unit is not built yet. they surely can change the database. then if still cannot, i will have to cancel and order a new one. in the end, wait for another 1 month. Added on February 21, 2010, 10:17 pmQUOTE(FindingScreemo @ Feb 21 2010, 10:14 PM) hehe.. sorry sorry just my own opinion not from any source or any site.. haha.. no worries. yes can, you can even extend if after you receive it. problem is, you need to pay nearly 1k if you extend your warranty ONLY after you receive it, used it, abused it hehe sorry mr doktor ... but screemo, according to someone, i forgot where i read from liaw.. that person says he canceled his order and make a new one because he wanted to extend his warranty. Added on February 21, 2010, 10:23 pmnono, you can still extend your warranty just before the warranty ends also. but, you need to pay nearly 1k to do it.. okay, i get your point there. maybe its true. i'l re-consider about it then. thanks for the advice. QUOTE(stringfellow @ Feb 21 2010, 10:27 PM) By the way, that part in bold and red , is not from my own mouth, it's from the CS manager herself. Take it as you will. I tried deducting the useless McAfee AV software from my order, but since the order was already locked down, I had to take it. McAfee is a bloated AV, not as robust as BitDefender or Kaspersky. what do you mean by bloated by AV? in otherwords, macafee is not a trusted antivirus brand? but i got the 24 months version.. gonna be wasted again i suppose. or mayb in my next order i just tell my SA to cancel the macafee. yeap, gonna install kaspersky.
