Today start my midsem break so hv nothing to do

i wanna try to do sumthing with my HAF

My objective to paint my case to black color for interior n some red colour only..

Not involve any cutting2 coz i dun hv any cutting tool

1st off all i forgot take any photo of my haf complete ori set

NVM bout it

i buy [3 anti-rust primer][2 RED][1 WHITE][2 FLAT BLACK]



i use 800,1000,1500,2000 Grid sand paper for sanding process[cap burung2 terbang]



Take out all mesh on front panel



drill out all rivets



done "kekah"-ing my case



to post my update here i hv to build my rig on my table



tmr will start sanding part by part

looking good .. u should cut the upper mesh at least and replace it with better 120mm fans .. and maybe some acrylic

only got drill

u can use hand hacksaw

that steel a bit thick
if use hand hacksaw dunno how long it take
mayb my hand gonna ripped off 1st

if cutting straight line, hacksaw is ok, but if curve abit hard for hacksaw

great. do u test the paint chipped off easily or not?

if use hacksaw how to start d 1st cutting??

even d primer already hard to chipped off if using nail
use playar or other metal tool,then it will easy to peel

how come mine chip so easily zzzz.. any material with a good amount of force will chip it..

i already sand it with 200 grit sander lol.. .. u apply some clear coat??

its for making the paint resistant to scratches... clear coat is a clear transparent layer that u put on top of your paint ..

price?
same as normal spray??

i think if the purpose to make it a stealth look using a flat black paint don't need any clear coating unless you want make a piano finish at once.

i dun think can make that shiny

when spray got many small particle stick on it

buy an air can compressor to blow out the small particles out of the case

no use anymore coz that small particles already dry-ed with the paint

where'd you get your paint from. a bit hard to find cheap paint nowadays. unless from those kedai runcit of hardware. haha.

drill 1 hole that can allow the blade of hacksaw to get through..then yeah u can start saw it

not sure if a drill can fit o.O.. most people use dremel first or a rotary tool to cut a small line for the hacksaw to go in..

done spraying my side panel[actually the colour a bit not fully red but when snap pic it look fully red..ull know when u see it with bare eyes]

so sad..that part actually no need to rivet yet n my riveter slide on it

but done spraying 1 more layer on it



put it back using glue



the hardest part of all

its nearly imposible to put the clip back without tearing the paint

my hand so gatal already to put it back

luckily got no defect on it

p/s : wow..clean room..

hehe sure can..but need to move abit the drill to get bigger hole rather than hacksaw i more prefer the choping saw..easier when cutting the curve area but take time to complete due to thin blade

u got the clips back in so easily.. i had some bruises on my fingers and some deep cuts zzz working on those stuffs.. what do u use to pull it out?? flat head screwdriver??

at my place, yes clear coat same price as normal color RM5 per can

if use metallic color, clear coat will bring out the shiny especially on flat surface

other part seem got no probs much

yeah im going to the gym alright.. biceps and forearms are quite strong for my size D: and i just started working heavy, before this was light2 ..
