Yep, more expensive than some Collector's Editions. Pretty fun so far but a few issues with performance on high end rigs which means us middle folks don't have a chance. The beta only has one mode one map so it's getting a little boring and there are the bugs which should be squashed in the final version. The gun models are going to be improved retail so I'm excited about that. The action is not as arcadey as MW2 and team work is really an advantage. |

Sounds alot of fun, ill wait for software boutique to get their stock, MW killed BF when it was released. But now the tables are turned, Infinity Ward got greedy with MW2. but serously fcuk MW2 in the ass. C4? Try engineer mines too. I threw out all my stocks near the mcom before getting raped by 5 defenders and almost not make it. Then suddenly KABOOM! All of them were killed. I was puzzled at first since I havent got the chance to shoot anything. It turn out that a friendly uav missile trigger one of the mines and set off a chain reaction. It took out their mcom too. For 5 seconds or so my screen keep flashing kill text. Awesome combo lol.

Good FPS really give snipers advantage! Just overclocked my Asus 5850 a bit and I got 15-18 FPS boost!

finally figured out why bc2 was crashing all the time. its my stupid card. i am running a powercolor ati 4670 and it crashes all the time at its default clock. i had to underclock it by 5 mhz then the crashing stop. amazing. stupid card should be able to overclock, but there are some serious problems.

managed to get better FPS this morning, along play with this bulibuli always bulibuli me into shittyhole
what i've done was in CCC AA = 2x AF = 8x Adaptive = Performance AI Catalyst = Disable Triple Buffering = Enable while in the game all set to Medium 30~35 is much better than 15~25 |

my textures are on high, and so are effects. I really hate crappy textures, a good looking game looks terrible with bad textures. And so do effects -- there is a big difference between medium and high.

Actually i figured it out. Apparently it was my processor.
I previously used a program to handle my Mass Effect 2 processor switching (from 1 core to 2 core and so on) since it's a bug where the game takes forever to load on a core 2 duo. I changed my core use back to 2, restarted and now it works like a charm. Not an ATI problem. I enjoy paying for what i get so i'll stick with ATI... until i'm rich enough to get Nvidias. |

Anyone know how to adjust the sensitivity for scoping? when i use my red dot sight the sensitivity is way too high and i need some mouth smoothing action. Sniping is quite a hassle without that.. so jittery

Wonder why the chance for me to stab people is really low. Click the knife button and the knife directly hit him but no effect and ended up being knife by him. MBT Rafshi now should have 6 dog tags with my name on it =x. I WANT MY DOG TAGS BACK !! Only manage to get 2 of his dog tags =(

1st time i get 30 kills in one round last night, i play in Fragnetics HCFF 05. Pretty cool. Killcam off make me easy to camp behind the tree and people keep come to the same place. LOL. I think Hardcore mode is the best way to play the game.

I dig out some info and here's what i got : QUOTE EA and DICE announce the release of a new patch for the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC beta: So QA found out a debug setting we used for logging errors was causing the CTD's after DICE left work last night. As such the patch is good to be released and is going live now. Steam users will have to wait until this evening to update as we need Valve to wake up to make it live their end. If you want to run the latest version you can uninstall the Steam version and grab the client from any host here, and use the same login details as before. You can update automatically when loading BFBC2 or you can manually run the updater from your install directory (run as Administrator if you experience update issues or errors). This update is about performance and stability again. We are not doing any changes to the game's datafiles. # Reduced input "lag:" * On machines where the CPU would out-run the GPU, sometimes the GPU would queue up several frames' worth of rendering commands. This could lead to the game having a high framerate, but input still feeling very sluggish. Now there's a limiter on how many frames the CPU is allowed to be "ahead" of the GPU. Control this setting via Settings.ini. Default setting: RenderAheadLimit=2 # Performance optimizations with biggest improvements on dual-core machines # Fixed black "masks:" * The soot on buildings with holes in them had a bugged renderpath. We switched that over to a more well-tested renderpath. # Improved hit-detection: * We've gone through the hit detection logic, and client+server will now give more consistent results. # Fix for some "rubberbanding" issues: * C4 should stay attached to vehicles and not rubberband around # Reduced spikes/dips in framerate # Various fixes for alt+tab related CTD on Dx9 # More fixes for random CTD on Dx9 # Fix for crash when you're in a vehicle that gets destroyed: * There was a race condition in the code; System 1 thought "oh hey, you're leaving vehicle X"; System 2 thought "the vehicle got destroyed, let's remove it." If system 2 ran before system 1, chaos would ensue. This was actually fixed in the retail version since a month, but it was only when we got detailed crash reports from the community that we understood *why* the Beta was crashing. # Likely bugs in this build: * I wouldn't be surprised if it (still) has trouble remembering your settings between rounds. It would be nice to have that fixed too, but it's better to get a patch out now, and look at the settings issues afterward. I'll be launching a new beta key giveaway later today to celebrate. i got a big fps boost, and i finally manage to get 50 on native reso which is 1440x900 at all low, but i put dx10, and still smooth. will try tweak tweak slowly to put higher settings.

Well by the time you close the distance to knife someone he's filling half your screen. You just gotta time it right I guess. For me it's tricky cause I get like a half second delay before my knife stabs forward.

The name with the clan named MBT there really did an effect on me, everytime when there's a chance for me to backstab them, i'll just give up and shoot, been knifed by MBTs too much just wanted to keep a distance with them

Not qualified yet i guess, 11 dog tags of mine from RedBull, 6 from greasemonkey and more from others. I'll train more until i don't get knife that often before i post mah application. Its kinda hard to play without mah headset, i blame Roccat for delaying their product for so long
Pros like paskal also dun dare apply yet, newfag like me shall train moar |

Tried a few other games on my laptop,most of them just stutter a bit,at most,seems like BFBC2 RC3 really broke the game for me,while fixed for most.
No idea whats wrong now. |

Ping yesterday sucked like hell. My performance feels weird and my mouse sensitivity is whacked. Maybe mine hasn't downloaded the latest updates yet

wah...paskal knifed me twice.....1st was very very cheap....while i was sniper...the other was.....owh shit..im running n i saw 2 ppl in appear infront on me.... at least i got u back once

The apache's so cheap if you don't have someone camping with a tagging dart at the start of 3rd base then you're pretty much screwed.
Because some fool will try and drive the AA truck into the base and blow it up. All the time. |

Just lack of ways to take down the apache while the apache has too many ways of taking down everything else.
As far as i know... the best counter measure to the apache is... having more inept people on the defending team with pilots flying the apache into the ground every 3 seconds. |

eh guys... just want to ask... how you take down that tank/apache on tracer dart? i mean... whenever i loaded up as Engineer, Tracer Pistol + RPG/AT, i already put that dart and when fired upon, the missile still going somewhere else...

And every time I see my teammates using the chopper, I change to recon rightaway.. I spot the enemy infantry for the gunner to shoot, coz as a gunner, I know how hard is it to spot an enemy infantry, in black&white interface..

i find that being a gunner in the chopper allows me to spot pretty well. Don't have much trouble spotting

As a full-time recon myself, I prefer spotting down enemies and pinpointing them the places and shooting down houses with the mortar. Except that when I do that, there will be so many wookies camping down, following suit and directly causing the tide to turn.
