I have many people asking me how to Connect so many Speaker's to my Computer, and instead of teaching every one of you individually, here is a Thread for all of you who want to Use their Home Theater System as their Computers Speakers.

How to do?

* First of you would need an RCA into Headphone Jack Converter which can be Bought From Any Hypermarket, Eg. Carrefour. It looks like this

* Secondly you would need some RCA cables to connect the Converter to your Home Theater system. It looks like this

* Thirdly You need to connect the RCA cables to The Place where it Says *INPUT*the colors of these input places are usually Red and white. Like in this Pic

Information about this

* if you want to Have "Surround Sound" You would need to have an Soundcard and you would also need More Converters and RCA Cables.

* If you wish to have as many Speakers as me. You would Need 2x 5.1 channel Amplifiers and Several Converters and RCA Cables

* It is not hard to do this things, it took me only 1 hour to Set up, No drivers or any Software needed. Just some Cables and Converters and of course an Amplifier

* Most Electronic Shops don't think it is possible to do this, But Rest assured it is. You May ask a few LYN members whom i Helped. They will tell you that this is Possible.

* It is not Really Necessary For you to use a Soundcard, unless you want 5.1channel Surround Sound or So on.

* Your Inbuilt Motherboard or even etc Phone,PSP,Mp3 Player can Be connected to the HT. As long as there is an Converter it will work.

ENJOY 5.1/7.1 On your PC! thumbup.gif

With ATI videocard, 3xxx, 4xxx, 5xxx and HDMI receiver, you only need one HDMI cable for both video and audio. 4xxx and 5xxx support 7.1 LPCM so you get surround sound for your gaming without any sound card.

Also, you can get those soundcard with DTS connect or DD Live, it can encode 5.1 surround sound into SPDIF so you can connect your soundcard to amp with one coax or optical cable. No need RCA cable. It's easier and can support DD or DTS for movie too. Soundcard such as Auzuntech come with DD Live and DTS Connect technology.

rclxms.gif Optical/digital solution is preferred for "newer" mobo with optical out cos most AVR older than 5 years should hv optical in...

Both signal optical/coax are DIGITAL..

The optical cable is also called TOSLINK.

The coax cable is usually labeled ORANGE in colour and have RCA connectors.

have you considered what about the people who dont have the luxury of upgrading their stuff?

that is why i created this thread.

and also do you think a mobile phone or Mp3 player has an Optical cable? or if the Amplifier doesnt have a Optical input.

Please Consider about the people who do not have optical and so on. wink.gif
