Hi Xboxers. smile.gif

Recently I bought a LCD HDmonitor (AOC 2434Pw) for my younger brother. This LCD HD monitor does come with a built-in speakers.

First of all, I plugged in our Xbox 360 via HDMI into our AOC LCDmonitor. How come there's no audio produced from the speakers?? But having it plugged into a Panasonic HDtv via HDMI, it does produce audio. Shouldn't it be the same basis likewise? : rclxub.gif

Secondly, if that's the case. Do i still need to get an external/multimedia speakers and by using a R+L audio converter from the Xbox 360 to be plugged into the 'audio input(green)' of the external speakers? blink.gif

Would need a little enlightenment on these audio tech biggrin.gif thanks once again and much appreciated for the help here.

I'm still waiting to read/hear from them about it. Hopefully get it sorted out before CNY.

rectified the problem already. the HDMI port on my Xbox a little unaligned. just need to lift the HDMI cable a little higher with a thin book to support it.
Probably would send back to the tech to align the HDMI port for me.

Thanks xboxers!

hhmmm...sounds like the pin not making contact...cheap HDMI cable?? Or the XBOX HDMI port is defective(bad bulit quality, misaligned)? I think it's more likely cheap HDMI cable where the head is not build to exact size.

If that's so, probably I should get a better or xbox HDMI cables then? hmm.gif Well the connection between the HDMI and the port is quite loose and wobbly and needed something to uphold it. Is your connection firm?

You roughly how much it'll cost? Thanks Matrix smile.gif

hmm.gif Think I'll get a new better HDMI cable then =) it's quite annoying, to keep adjusting the cable during gameplay. mad.gif
