Hi! Bro bbear,
Just back to KL yesterday!
Are you mean AM in the Melaka?
Because I driving White Forte with 'KIA' emblem and same plate no as you write and driving at Melaka on 17-18/2 and 15-16 at Seremban to Pahang.
-------------------------------------------
Just for sharing to all, rclxms.gif
I driving from Triang, Pahang -> Tengkera, Melaka -> 2 days Town visit, Melaka -> Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Total distance Trip A: 400KM, DTE: 220km, Average: 7l/100km.
I found that the Average become very good during consistence driving around 70-80km/h at normal road from Pahang to Melaka, around 6.4l/100km.

In my opinion, I found BHP fuel is best for Forte in term of power & fuel consumption after tried Caltex, Esso, Shell.  thumbup.gif

In last, wishing all new Forte owner 'Happy Driving' and enjoy your 'Forte Roadshow' to other!!! flex.gif

AM = in the Morning. I think I saw you then.. in front of the Nyoya & Baba Museum when the car passed by. I am on my feet that time.

Yup bro, i am Penang Forte Kaki biggrin.gif ... actually they didnt take out the door panel but just the top rubber part, the tweeter, the rear mirror and the third break light panel when installing. If you are interested in Security + Heat Rejection tint and dont mind doing it Butterworth, then i would recommend you Wingard Royale (highest range), JPJ compliance, GPS & Smart Tag friendly, and not to mention that they offer 10 years warranty, which only cost slightly more than some other brands with 5 years warranty (will PM you the special price for Forte members here). The workmanship is good, no bubble or rattling sound ... bro bbear did his 407 tint there too biggrin.gif

What i like the tint most is the head rejection of Wingard Royale (side and back) and also the colour (slightly dark and non-metallic). We can meet and I can show you the tint and other poisons if you want to smile.gif

My review on Wingard Royale http://www.kiafortemalaysia.com/showthread.php?t=129

More details on Wingard Royale http://www.tintgallery.com/html/wingard.asp
*
I just got back from the Tint Shop "Poh Wah" mentioned by 4te to take cares of some small bubbles and also to do custom cut mattress but they are running out of Black.

QUOTE(4te @ Feb 19 2010, 07:00 PM)
Welcome back bro biggrin.gif

Thank you.. it is a long week without internet access.

I also went into the Kia Dealer Branch next to the Tint shop.. they have 2 x SX Ready stock and also i think 2 x EX ready stock including from First batch. For those that looking for ready Stock Metal Bronze and Bright Silver have ready stocks there. They can register the car to be on the road within 1 Week if everything settled.

nobody can help you because nobody knows..........

in fact, nobody has even got the 2.0, and thus we are not even sure the price we book will still be applicable........
*
Surprisingly, the SA i spoken to on Friday told me that since day one in Nov, the HQ has already told them the launching is only for 1.6 and 2.0 has not launched until now.. something fishy when i heard that, most probably is a made up story after so many people asking them about 2.0SX.

The one in PISA has few services .. but at different prices. Theirs are Matrix Coating and cost around RM2k. They have others like Smart Coat that only last like 3 months.

My bad, didn't ask properly, I know the difference, I mean does it do any good or bad to the engine?
*
As a safety precautions, most car manufacturers will state in their manual asking users to check on the car's start up diagnosis / checking before cranking up the engine.

If there are any major faults, then the driver will decides to drive with that or not.

So, NO.. it does no good / no bad to the engine as it serves other purposes.

A dumb question, before I book the car, it says there is an active headrest, when I check the manual, it says can be push or pull 3 directions but I can't figure out how to do it. Is active headrest only apply to 2.0?
*
Active Headrest is a safety feature, that prevent whiplash injury, not a system for you to adjust your headrest actively

I agree with you, zero support for neck ... my friends commented on that too ... but i think thats the safety feature or something.
I think not really, my car has Active Headrest for the safety and it has the tilting headrest to support my neck. but it is too high for my wife though.

Suddenly I felt fortunated that I made my decision much earlier or I will have a miserable Chinese new year. My current car has already 1 month + 2 days old now .. and if I am still waiting for the 2.0SX.. I am then having the same miserable lives for 3 months by now.

off topic, anyone here sell your old car and face problem due to puspakom? i need to change my saga to my brother's name, puspakom said the tinted not pass, although i got the warranty from the shop and they said will cover everything but is there any other suggestion? need to settle it fast.
*
Someone advise me, if I have problem with Puspakom, inform the tint shops that do warranty as they will go to Puspakom to "negotiate" and normally no need to redo. ( the cost of redo + cost of negotiation may be the same and it save more time. brows.gif

hi, just to share my exp with u all.

I booked my 1.6sx on 27/11/2009
Car arrived at dealer on 14/01/2010, got my chasis number.
After 1 week lodge an official complaint with them.
Call careline, fake promises after fake promises but until 3/2/2010 car still cannot register.
Then called them for the last time and give dateline until 12/12/2010 before noon and tell them if by that date yr car cannot register; you will
1) Go to press with statement " NAZA tipu pembeli, dapat kereta tak boleh daftar"
2) Appoint lawyer and send them notice of demand (NOD) asking them to pay RM100 daily for your lost of transport, depress, etc....(lawyer know what to do) till the day you receive your car.
3) CC your NOD to SPRM, Bank Negara, your finance comp, dealer/branch you booked the car, tribunal pengguna.
4) Make a police report on your deposit given to them...details, your lawyer know what to do.

Finally,  I received my car on 12/02/2010 exactly at 11.30am complete with registration, plate number and grant.

But after you get your car, you wont regret of owing one....hehehe......
Hope you will get yours soon..... tongue.gif

Perhaps the 2.0SX owners should team up to give NK some pressure.

they install the security film at the back also.. the front one makes me dizzy.. some wavy area... straight lines will look like wavy... izzit defect or natural? coz i nv did tinting for my previous car b4.. i dunno about tis.
*
So far, none will install security film on front wind screen. Only Sides and for the WinGard Royale, can do on Back.. and i think few more brands can put on back. But never heard anyone has Security Tint that can put in front's windscreen.

Yah, maybe the Tint not fully settling down yet. But my wife's City that tinted last time, it has a horizontal lines ( not physical lines ) at the eye height which is very distracting... not sure if that you are referring to. Some lines that are optically seen but physically inspecting the Tint is normal.. no lines.

That is what I being told, break from the inside. And I have a heavy duty brake lock that probably can get the job done.

If that the case, my wife's one still there after 3 years ++ the lines are there since day one and we never able to go back to the tint shops to ask. Still under warranty ( if i can find the receipt )

U mean the TCS (traction control)? So far not yet, not able to find a safe spot with that kind of surface + plenty of water... lol
I think by finding a beach and perform all those stuns there will be more easier blush.gif
*
Perhaps the Forte owners can organize an advance driving course / defensive driving course. They will have ready setup for you to experiences some scenario and how to overcome them with / without those active safety features and etc. I knew some other clubs have those session before. I would join one if there is another one that i could attend and also fit my schedules.

At least with this method, you will know your car better, and also got to try those "stunt" under supervision and also got to know how to handle your car at certain scenarios.

Below is one of the clips i found on the other car clubs has.
