The Plasmas are yummy. Tongue dripping.

Only thing is when can we get it on our shores esp the 63". Like the Ultra Slim panels.

Bro Braveheart, may I suggest the PN63C8000 model for U? thumbup.gif

I can only look and pray for the PN50C6500 model which is a direct replacement for the 2009 PN50B650 model. sad.gif

Bro, not necessary to go for the highest if the specs are quite similar.

My main priority is for viewing and not too many tech gadgety esp software etc etc as you know i am a total noob in this area.

Don't know what will be the price structure like.

You should also go for the 63" as the 50" will look smaller than your present one if you were to mount it to the wall.

Plasma vs projectors cannot be compared.... It is totally different.

If u have a light controlled room, projector is the way to go, as the sheer size will allow you to forego the black levels and contrasts.

However, if u don't, plasma is the only option. Especially for sports and all.

However, with the LED light source coming into the projectors, I believe in 3-4yrs we shd be making good progress. The colour accuracy of the LED light source and the bypass of the heat up time since there is no UHP light source, makes it very much as the next thing.

The "unconfirmed news" is that the lower end C6500 will be available in US market in March and the higher end models will follow in Apr/May timeframe. The other day during the Sammy roadshow in Queensbay the sales person told me for Malaysia market they will all be released around May/June timeframe, just in time for World Cup. But I'd reckon they will be available sooner than that if they want a piece of the pie from the World Cup sales...

Every brand will be launching their new models before the World Cup starts. Lots of buyers hunting around are just waiting for this time. That's for sure if not they will miss the boat and lose a sizeable market share.

I always fancy and droll over d awesomeness of FHD projector. But I don't have a proper HT room to fit that in.
