Hi girls, was thinking of getting a hair curler and maybe a hair straightening iron, any good recommendations of which model/brand to get? What should I look out for when getting one? I heard that ceramic ones are good? Is that true? Also, I saw some forummers selling some curlers (China brand), very affordable price, are they good? Anyone tried them before? Because I was very tempted to get one myself. Thanks a lot in advance.

i love the curlers that those guru at youtube is using but those are available in the US.
you can try to go to those shops where they sell professional hair care products.. usually the sell curling iron and straightener too. those are either made in korea or japan.
i heard babyliss curler is good. but i bought vidal sassoon curler. not too bad but not a "wow" either. haha! but it does the job to curl my hair.. problem is it doesn't hold my curl. haha!

i'm usin babyliss one its really much more better compared to VS one. VS sassoon makes my hair appears dryer and the CURL DONT LAST LONG whereas babyliss, you can set your own temp according to hair types. for mine, there's around 6-7 temperature settings

VS doesn't make my hair drier and it does have different temp setting too. but anyway, i too thought of getting the babyliss curler one day.. no hurry because i have just cut my hair. haha! so, not in the hurry of purchasing any curler now.

erm.. i'm also wondering where to get babyliss curlers.. but again.. my hair's unique... in the sense when i do something to it, it tends to stay without spray required. at times i'd go to the salon n set my hair, it'll stay from morning to nite. so.. lucky me? ~ e.g.: rebonding = lasted over 2 years (which of course i cut my hair n the guy told me it can last a max of 1 year plus) digital perm = lasted me for the past 1 year (n still curly) (the lady told me it can last for 3 months. n i've seen many that washes their hair daily n it last bout 2 months plus?)

I just bought a China-branded 2in1 hair curler + flat iron for RM32.. Ehehe, I couldn't afford those branded curlers yet, but I think this china curler works Just that it doesn't have the on/off button which is a little bit inconvenient, and it has the china plug and that I need to use the converter to use it, but it's cheap and it works, so I can't ask for more!

QUOTE(peppermilk @ Mar 5 2010, 02:10 PM) Just wondering, where to get the Babyliss curlers? Price range? =D Babyliss can get from salon supply. KL im not sure but Penang can get from PCQ which located @ iAvenue or Pranging Mall. Melaka also go PCQ @ Melaka Raya main road. Price range is around RM 150 per piece. It heat up very fast I have a friend using Panasonic curler. It has steamer fuction you can use it to curl or straighten your hair. According to my friend she says this curler give harmless to hair. Price range wise...sorry I forgot But 1 thing i dont like this curler will take double longer time to curl/straighten due to the "harmless" temperature Added on April 4, 2011, 7:30 pmQUOTE(Michiko Nakajima @ Mar 27 2011, 11:23 AM) hi, before using the hair straightener, what brand of hair product is recommended to protect hair from heating? I use a panasonic hair curler. After too much use, my hair feels very dry. So you must take really good care, so try to use spritz-on product on your hair before using the curler. You should try curlformers.
