Revive Dead Phone With JAF via USB

Some times users kill their BB5 phones by downgrading them. For some phones, it is necessary to have an FBUS cable to revive them, and for some types u only need the DK2 USB cable which is provided with your JAF or in your nokia phone sales pack. Some times when a new phone come out the fbus cable is not available or the reseller does not have it on stock for delivery. Using JAF you do not depend any more from this FBUS cable.


Quick instructions for USB dead phone bb5 uniprocesors

- Connect JAF and start the software.
- Select BB5 tab, select USB mode.
- Select Manual Flash and USE INI.
- Select your model and ini.
- Press FLASH.
- Wait for "Searching for phone", "Init USB Communication" ..now Press power on the phone once (Dont Press & Hold!)
- JAF software should start flash procedure.

maybe he just missed out the correct timing for power button press

yeah timing is the essence of reviving phone using jaf..hehehe.

but still cant revive back,i follow the ins,click the use ini,cant coz my phone cant on for long time,and it cant scan my product code

maybe it was wrong time to on it..dumb me

when u click on the "use ini" wait for a moment until a new window of choosing phone model pop up, browse to ur model, rm-356 i believe, then click on it..make sure the firmware in correct folder, in the log it show the list of file that will be flashed, read through it and make sure its v40..turn off phone then connect usb, press flash, then push the power button until u heard the usb plugged in sound,release it..if after a few second got sound of usb unplugged, pull out the cable from phone, connect back then press flash, push the power button a bit longer tis time..

im facing prob on 'use ini',when tick after few second it dissapear..

both not the same read the RED notice "Copy this file into original firmware and overwrite it, then flash !"

I'm advising u, if u unsure, please dont flash on ure own

seems like getting rubbish into phone, too many things

my frend has offer to help me flash but he ask me wic 1 i wan to put in 8th or 9th, so wic wld u reco.both sound temptin XD

im not sure, as im using the 1st version (standard hacked only with ROM Patcher) i never tried 08th and 09th Feb hacks yet, got some other people done it, try search this forum few pages back.
