Lawak of the year. Kotaku spreading fake news regarding Gran Turismo 5 had very slow loading times, but kantui. QUOTE Faked Gran Turismo 5 video on Kotaku?Earlier today, the popular game blog, Kotaku, ruffled the feathers of racing fans anticipating Sony’s launch of the latest iteration of the best selling racing simulation Gran Turismo 5 for the Playstation 3 console. The video appears to show exorbitantly long load times while the game loads a specific track. Kotaku titled the video “Video Shows Gran Turismo 5 Has Painfully Slow Load Times” and goes on to comment “With a couple months left and GT developer Polyphony Digital still hard at work, there is hope that these horribly long load times can be significantly reduced. ” However, eagle eyed visitors to the site have noticed a few peculiarities in the video. The most obvious is the slo-mo speeds that reflections of visitors at the event appear to be moving at during certain points in the video. The second is previous footage of the same level loading that show a dramatic difference in loading time – approximately 25 seconds compared to load times in excess of one minute shown in the video on Kotaku’s site. Is Kotaku posting doctored video of the long awaited racing title in an attempt to create negative buzz prior to the games eminent release? Source: http://www.smgamers.com/?p=2080

Latest information from Gamescon:GT LIFE - A-spec / B-spec - Choose your "Life", as a Driver or Racing Team Director

Live as a Racing Driver in A spec
In the A spec mode, you are a racing driver. Getting behind the wheel yourself, you will hone your driving skills, and challenge one race at a time. This is the facet of "Gran Turismo 5" we are all familiar with.
Live as a Racing Team Director in B Spec
In the B spec mode, you are the director of a racing team. You will not be driving yourself, but will be nurturing an AI (Artificial Intelligence) driver, with the aim of securing victory by giving directions to the driver during races.
The B spec mode which first appeared in "Gran Turismo 4" has evolved to the next level, creating another facet of "Gran Turismo 5" that you could call a "Racing RPG".
GT LIFE and its "Charms"
Collecting and Storing Your Cars

Garage
The foundation for a great car life is of course the garage. It has been designed so that you can easily organize and view over 1000 cars included in the game. The garage will also be used in various modes other than "GT LIFE", as a common tool throughout the various modes of the game.

Purchasing Cars and Parts

Car Dealer: You can buy new cars with the rewards you collect from races. You can also use this place just to enjoy viewing the ultra detailed cars.

Used Car Dealer: Used cars are priced more reasonably than brand new cars. The lineup will change depending on when you visit, so keep coming back to discover rare finds.

GT Auto (Tuning Shop): Tyres, suspension kits, body, chassis, exhaust system, and engine parts. You can tune your car with a wide variety of components.
Learning to Drive / Practicing
License: By clearing the many mini-events, you can learn everything from basic driving skills to advanced racing techniques.
Practice: You can take free practice runs alone on the track. Great for learning difficult tracks and setting up your car.
Course Maker - Make an Original Surprise Course and Invite Your Friends.
In Gran Turismo 5, you can finally generate your own original tracks. This is the "Course Maker" feature.
In the "Course Maker", you will select the base theme (terrain), and select a variety of parameters such as the length of the course, to easily create a track which matches your parameters. If you come up with a good track, you can also give these original tracks to your friends online, and use them in the races with your friends in My Lounge.

Racing Karts - Make New Discoveries on the Tracks through Kart Racing
Racing Karts are now appearing for the first time in the Gran Turismo series. Karts are a popular way to get into motorsports in real life, and even a beginner player of Gran Turismo will be able to enjoy racing in one.
The dynamic characteristics of racing karts have been thoroughly recreated through the experience and technology amassed at Gran Turismo. The size, ride height and dynamics of a Kart are totally different from that of a normal car. Witness the moment when the familiar world of Gran Turismo transforms into a whole new world.

But, at the moment, still no info whether there will be global servers where people with different GT5 game region can play together or not.
