QUOTE(ReeNz @ May 4 2010, 09:28 AM) its very subjective.. i like HDRs that are natural looking without the comic book Armageddon looks.. with no or barely visible halos around trees and contrast edges.although the framing could use a bit more tilt to the bottom, the bottom of the house seems cut off. there are still space to spare on the skies above for you to push the frame lower. ikan tak berO²: where you get your CS5? pm me
jimmy: HDR = high dynamic range, google it up i use Photochop CS3 for my signatures, and yes you can batch it in PS, this is a longer way. the easier way is to use Photoscape, its VERY intuitive and best of all, its FREE This post has been edited by lwliam: May 4 2010, 02:06 PM |

badtrans2020: pic #1, its better if you go for the details instead of shooting it wide. the background is very distracting.
#2, if you dont have a tripod, place it somewhere steady eg. railing but with that kind of light, i dont think a 1 sec exposure is suitable. |

ButanicaBanzai: at 1st glance, looks like any other normal shot to me. there's still halo on around the roof and a darkened patch on the right side of the sky. i believe could be from CPL?

noobie1, DJFoo000 is correct. in fact, those halo-ish so-called HDR are so cliched.

QUOTE It is estimated that our eye can see over a dynamic range of nearly 24 f-stops while a digital camera can capture a dynamic range around 6 to 9 f-stops at best. quote source this is one of the reason we make HDR (high dynamic range) images, so that it replicates what the eye can see. the cartoonish outcome, what i think is just a by-effect of a non-complete HDR editing - they went, "hey, this looks pretty cool and new... let's see how will ppl react to these type of images", the reaction got good and hence, it got stuck at how HDRs 'should' look like... (this paragraph is solely my own personal opinion, feel free to correct me if you know the actual truth) This post has been edited by lwliam: Jun 8 2010, 06:11 PM |
