it would be even better if they put line-out instead of dual headphone outs

Since line out is done via the dock, maybe in the future there will be LOD for E7. I don't think all people would want to pair it with E9, maybe some others want to pair it with their own amps.

The ones I'm using are listed on my signature except the shp895.
Tried E7 on DT770 pro 250ohm. It's able to drive it heh. But most likely not as good as crossroads edge This post has been edited by terradrive: May 25 2010, 12:01 AM |

Hehe Fiio already started designing the LOD for E7, but it would be released later as they are currently ramping the production of other LODs (sansa, sony, ipod, etc) and the E7 itself.

Anyone who wants to try Fiio E7 that lives nearby Wangsa Maju area can contact me
Bring your cans so I can have a test too hehe By the way on easy to drive cans like my AD300, Eterna etc the difference aren't that big. Overall details does improve and music sounded less flat. The biggest improvements are on those headphones that are harder to drive. |

QUOTE(camrycilver @ May 28 2010, 01:10 PM) question...! E7's bass boost is better than E5 hands down. 1st E7's amp section is miles ahead compared to E5, it doesn't suffer from bass and treble roll off as E5 does on certain headphones/earphones. Treble roll off is very little compared to the huge bass roll off on E5, it was done when both amps loaded with 16ohm load. Fiio E7 maintains the sub bass on it's bass boost, while E5's bass boost peaked at 70Hz and then it rolled off on the sub-bass region.2 anyone who alredy tried E7...can i know da difference of da E7 bass booster setup level 3 compare wit E5 bass booster setup... any significant difference? thanx... For me based on frequency measurements, Headstage Arrow 12HE is the best amp on the bass boost category, Fiio E7 is nothing compared to it. But it costs 199Euro which is over rm1000.... EDIT: E5's total bass boost amount is lower than E7 too. E5 has about 3.25dB bass boost, E7 has 4.5dB. As comparison, 3dB is the the doubling of power, while 6dB-10dB usually perceived as doubled volume on listeners. This post has been edited by terradrive: May 29 2010, 11:42 PM |

QUOTE(camrycilver @ May 29 2010, 11:39 PM) Have you tried Atrio earphones on Jaben? I think you should save money for it instead of E7, I think it will satisfy you better than using Fiio E7 with your current earphones. Unless you want to use the DAC function on the Fiio E7. |

DAC is digital-analog-converter. it converts digital data of sound signals into analog signals. The Fiio E7 works like usb soundcard.

QUOTE(studwo @ May 30 2010, 08:57 AM) is fiio e7's amp neutral ( aka extremely flat without any colouring no sweet vocal no extra bass and those . ) ? at bass boost lvl 0. It's very flat, probably deviates by very little.http://www.anythingbutipod.com/archives/20...-dac-review.php remember it's done using RMAA so the reviewer's soundcard does colour the sound a little bit. |
