No point crying over spilt milk. It was my decision to buy from Fedragon, it was my error not to suspect it being a credit card fraud.

Yes, ONLINE that acc will be suspended regardless i login or not. But OFFLINE my PS3 still recognizes that acc as active. As long as I don't login, there is no way SONY can send signal to my console to suspend that acc. Thank god I've used up all the credit. Safe to say, all my purchased game still playable.

u got ban because u log into HOME, its so atrocious , u will get ban if u log in hahahahahah

there is a couple of reason why some of u got ban

1) credit card fraud / expired ( entropay )
2) name on CC dont match yr psn profile even on entropay
3) Asia console activating US PSN content

gamesharing is still perfectly fine .
i confirmed all this 3 with the US PSN CS rep . Unfortunately my RB dlc group got affected due to this especially shinchan

The reason most of the LYN members got banned from US PSN is because they bought the credit from a fraudster who used stoled CC......If you have bought the credit from proper channel then its fine.....

That's correct. PSN has banned users who reportedly try to use a stolen or "shared" CC and then tried to abuse it by "sharing" with friends and if one them complain, the entire list of friends PSN logins will get banned.

If you don't have a legit credit card as your own, do not attempt to share this at all and be very very suspicious of someone offering to sell you PSN wallet at very low cut-throat price and you have are being forced to "share" the same userid.

You can get a real US PSN redeem code using your own login userid. They are affordable.

well, i tried buying off $150 "EXTRA" credit off the ebay for just $20... i have got feedback from my friends that ps3 console might be banned from entering PSN (thru MAC) .. i know.. it's my fault for being curious.... "touch wood"... so far it's fine... but i am fine if Sony just banned the account i bought but not my actual account in my ps3... shivering in fear now....

Their $20 PSN card is less than the normal market price I've seen but they don't email you the code, instead the email you a username and password.

Is this like those selling hacked accounts?

No, unfortunately, they didn't use the same method as you. Some users here got confused.

Instead of them buying the actual US PSN Card or Redeem Code, which has this format (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX),
which they can use on their own PSN userid, they've bought "a shared PSN account" (the PSN Userid that already has been preloaded with limited amount of $).

What they do not know is, some of those "shared PSN account" are activated with "stolen" credit card numbers and the fake seller tricked them into thinking that "shared PSN account" is good as any. The fake seller resells them to as many users as possible - therefore over-ran the number of machines that can download and install the games. When the last user tried to use it, he can't and begin the complaint and contact Sony or when the 'stolen credit card' gets reported. This is when Sony finds out and they will track the PSNs, IPs and MAC addresses and begin the shut down process.

Not only that, because the 'shared' account was activated using 'stolen' credit card info, Sony lost revenue because Sony gets a charge-back from the credit card company.

Sony will immediately shut off all the related 'shared' account because of this fraud. Imagine the horror, if you're given
your own PSN userid for fake seller to top up using 'stolen credit card', suddenly you lost all your privileges - including all your games contact, trophies, etc. That is why, some of the PSN userids are so cheap being advertised on Ebay or here (the fake seller never posts again after users complaint).

Also, sooner or later, when the pattern emerges later and if Sony finds out if majority of users from a certain region, they will ban that region from even logging in to US PSN network.

To be legit, I strongly advise users here to get a legit PSN Card or Redeem code that you can use on your OWN PSN userid.

You should NEVER share your PSN userid with anybody (unless you truly trust your friends).

Yes, Sony eventhough encourages games sharing (up to 5 registered machines) for friends and families but this privilege CAN BE REVOKED anytime. Do not abuse this. Once it is abused, the entire list of registered machines (via IPs or MAC addresses) will be banned.

i should have read your article before i purchase the account....
The account i bought is banned under 8002A231 code... damn.... now i am hoping it does not spread into the console... everyday when i log in, i prayed....

i bought one of those $20 for $150 accounts in ebay... my advice? don't buy it... take it from me whom have walked the road... i was dumb to do it...
it works like this,
1 - you pay the seller $20
2 - once the payment is through, the seller will send you via email an account with password.
3 - you then log into ps3 with that account given by the seller
4 - in the account, there will be $150 in your wallet as promised but you have to spend it all as fast as you could.... i have no idea how the seller could put in $150 (maybe by hack or CC fraud)
5 - you have to keep the account given by seller in your ps3 in order for your DL/C games to work.
6 - Sony will banned the account (minor-lucky) or console (***shit***) via MAC in just one or 2 days... Sony is very efficient in this.

damn, i wish i knew all this before i bought the account... my word to the rest of the world,,,, don't buy it... buy the real deal from danmooncake.. i have learn my lesson...
