One thing about the Zalman NC2000 is that you must use it in an air conditioned room to utilize it's full aluminium body.Without air con,it does cool but not by very much...however when used in an air con room(let's say 22C),you'll see some nasty drops in temperature. It's like giving your laptop a cold pack treatment-it's that cold laugh.gif

........................................................................................................................................
EXPERIMENT 2 :Air conditioned room with constant 22C temperature

Situation 1
Without cooler

CPU=40C,GPU=52,HDD=38

.........................................................................................................................................
1C was deducted from Processor and GPU temperatures because of the increased processor usage when using screen-snap programme(Sniping Tool)

p/s : These temperatures are still higher than what i normally have because i haven't run this machine for a longer period. The lowest average temperatures i got before were CPU=28C,GPU=41C,HDD=30C

Here's the screenshot

My honest opinion:
The Zalman NC2000 works best when paired up with an air conditioner.Looking at the temperatures, it doesn't fare too badly when used in a non-air conditioned room. The high quality materials used in the production of the NC2000 pretty much helps a lot in heat dissipation and aiding air-flow.And yes it's pretty cold due to its full aluminium body drool.gif Definitely worth the RM229 i paid biggrin.gif or could i find any better ones? brows.gif

Another note:Will update temperatures of full CPU and GPU load

If u noticed in that page, i did a review on my new Zalman NC2000 for idling temperatures.I asked around for any programme which can give full CPU and GPU load and therefore, Fantasia recommended me Folding.

Then i asked what's fold?So it's not really out of topic laugh.gif

Can you be more specific?'buzz sound" when playing high notes/bass notes or just random?

In fact, i did experience "buzz" sounds through my external speakers. No more "buzz" after changing settings on my KMplayer

I just called Dell and they sent a technician to change my whole speakers.....which involves changing the whole palm rest area except the keyboard

Better be careful when u are explaining your problem laugh.gif Make it look serious so that they'll have to change it

Try to call Dell again. This time test the new speakers in front of the technician and tell him exactly what's the problem. If problem persists, ask them to change another set rolleyes.gif

Btw, sorry to hear of your speaker problem. At the mean time, use external speakers first smile.gif

Well in the first place, their unit is faulty..not your fault..If they refuse, ask to speak to their manager-there's no way Dell can allow their customers to have a faulty unit
