Hardly used my newly bought Studio XPS 16. Just dislike the glossy surface.  Makes the laptop look less professional in a business environment.

However, anyone tried to install Windows XP successfully without any driver complications?

You know how did I partitioned? I call Dell XPS Service hotline, call up their technician, let them remote to my laptop and do it for me.

guys i use eraser to remove the glue marks....but now theres a bigger mark on it.....the erasers' how remove tat?can use thinner?

1. Why Dell only provide Win7 64bit but not 32bit?
2. The new GPU with i5-520 should be able to support Starcraft II?
3. The display connectivity let us hook it up to LCD. However, is it possible to hook up to 2 LCD? Wonder if such converter / splitter exist, to let us view 3 screens.

Honestly I'm only afraid that in future that the spare parts for this model finished/EOL since it's old tech.. (I think it's fine for processor & GPU not up to date)

Is it true that if under warranty & laptop beyond repair, dell will refund the $$ to buy dell product?

hi there, wanna ask, is there any major problems with dell sxps user? i heard there are plenty of problems regarding malfunction battery.. izit true?

i thought this happens with those with i7 quad config only???

I bought 3 SXPS for my company, one of them is i5....same problem also
But after much testing...there're actually 3 possible causes:
1) Power adapter
2) BIOS
3) Creative Sound Blaster

Should be around RM180...

xps 16 got backlight keyboard?..

No need so fast get thermal paste lar....get a cooler first

Anyway,SXPS is not that hot, just hot at the keyboard/touch pad/underneath the lappie area only

Nope, well SXPS16 i dun think need more thermal paste as its already good enough and like -kytz- said, only certain parts are hot when always using it ..

Well, thermal paste is good when want to OC the GPU
