Just want to ask.. again lol, ummm, i went to my friends house today and i saw his glider. He said the guy who sold it to him said the glider (male) was like 2 months old. BUT its like hella bigger than the gliders that u guys posted (male 2 mths old.) I compared my female 3 mth old glider with it, its so much bigger than mine.
What do u guys think??? Opinions?? This post has been edited by PeeBee: Feb 9 2010, 08:34 PM |

QUOTE(yueyi5730 @ Feb 9 2010, 08:58 PM) QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Feb 9 2010, 09:23 PM) Well, it's just the right age I would say. If you have read all about breeding and proper introduction, shouldn't be a problem. Since you have planned nicely, should go on well. HI thx for ur replies. I tried to take photos, but since theyre still new to our place, i dont wanna "kah chau" them atm, just let them get use to their owners and environment first. Cuz they always make sounds when we try to gently touch them etc. Remember about the proper way of introducing yah. Wow, like CNY glider cage. If you hang some ang paus sure look damn nice LOL. But ang paus not healthy for them, lead in the colouring hehehe. Anyway, nice. It could be older. If the person who sold it to him was a middleman or a pet shop staff, they would not really know how to tell the age, so would just simply crap and say 2 months old since that is what we all want to hear. Best to take a picture so we can judge better. Or it could be that the glider is a single joey, and sometimes single joeys will grow bigger or faster due to getting all of mom's attention and milk. Anyhow the male glider's color does look very similar to yueyi5730 avatar photo. I can definitely see that the female is more grey, and the male is more white/cream in colour. We've been discussing the gliders, and we think that the male "is" older than what was told to him (my friend) and that the glider may have been caged alot, not much communication between the glider and humans, not much interaction also, thats why its so deffensive. VERY deffensive actually. Cuz its been like nearly 1 week my friend has had this male glider and its still kinda scared, never really eats much, always sleeps in the sleeping pouch, it does come out sometimes to play in the wheel, but only for a while, sits in the wheel and is afraid to come out to take a walk lol. And its even bit/nipped while it was being carried out of the pouch (had to cuz he had to clean the pouch.) Oh, and the tail is normal, not fluffy like how ya'll say. Does it mean its got problems? So how? Do u think all this is over reacting? This post has been edited by PeeBee: Feb 9 2010, 09:58 PM |

Ok, this is the Male glider... first time in the tent, he seems ok now, hasnt made any sound... getting use to the environment i think.
I think the tail looks ok, just not as fluffy as some other gliders... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by PeeBee: Feb 10 2010, 12:15 AM |

QUOTE(yueyi5730 @ Feb 19 2010, 10:23 PM) wah not bad your cage deco..good job for first timer.so many things le..do u have enough space for them to hop around in the cage?.hey your water bottle hang so weird wan...haha..i hang mine outside only the nozle is inside...if u hand this way the glider might play with it and the bottle drop then got no water to drink You're right lol, i havent seen them play with the bottle though.. for now. I hung it at that angle, cuz it keeps dripping water at a normal angle. I dunno why? Should try your way I think i should remove some things for more room... QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Feb 20 2010, 11:28 PM) Those bottles drip like crazy coz it lacks of a spring in it. Get a double ball metal tip bottle or one with a spring in it. The best bottle is Critter Canteen. Another one I have has double metal balls in the tip, no dripping too. I'll get the name of the brand for you. Thanks, i really think i need to change mine Not to say companion as in opposite sex. What she has seen is that many SINGLE male gliders tend to self mutilate their penis. SINGLE females will also self mutilate but more on their tails. It is not linked to sexual desire. It is depression from being ALONE. So if you have a single glider and neglect him or her, no play time and bonding time, then there is a 50% chance he or she will self mutilate, be it the penis or leg or tail. Favourite parts are of course the penis and tail. |

You guys can try the baby wipes from Jusco, it says "Jusco selection" on it, its colourful mainly blue and orange, for me its very good, no alcohol and fragrance and its thicker than some other brands also. It the best so far for any use whether it be wiping my son, laptop, car etc.. anything!!
Some other wipes.. sometimes leave a soapy residue and smells funny. |

Here's my sweet little Mimi<3
I'm pretty sure she's a Cinnamon Glider, Ive noticed malaysia doesn't have alot of Glider colour variations and that they're usually the "Classic grey colour" Check out this link to know more about their colour variation Click here ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by PeeBee: Mar 6 2010, 11:23 PM |

But whether it's cinnamon or doraemon, it's still ur lovely baby.. OMG Everyone loves leucistic, but too bad it migh cost u 10k if u wan to import into Malaysia.. Nobody wan to pay tat money.. And it is very stressful for the glider during d flight or quarantine period.. I wonder why Malaysia doesn't have the leucistic colour? so rare & very unique Mimi is very innocent hehe! she's never ever biten, she's very gentle and loving This post has been edited by PeeBee: Mar 6 2010, 11:55 PM |

QUOTE(yueyi5730 @ Mar 8 2010, 09:55 PM) like SCC say they will turn a little bit brownish when they grow up...grey fur we often regard it as joey fur..haha.. Oic, thanks for more info but in pictures they are more brownish than in real life probably due to lighting...if u compare those living in coconuts they are way more stained then those living in pouches.. i everyday look at them and had them for many months already sure can tell them apart..each and every glider has different markings/face shape/attitude the first few days yea i get a little confused but after few weeks i surely can tell which is which.. Added on March 8, 2010, 9:58 pm kekeke..good to hear that maybe she is trying to bite the bottle nozzle to get the water out QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Mar 9 2010, 08:24 AM) It's super hard with 22 gliders, but I can tell them apart alright hahaha. But sometimes I mix up with the joeys, coz they all almost look alike when they are young. lol, i know what u mean, got confused for a while lol <3Now got joeys just OOP heheheh Added on March 9, 2010, 4:13 pm More pics of my sweethearts <3 Mimi again... ![]() And Cheeky (boy) ![]() Cheecky at the top and Mimi at the bottom ![]() This post has been edited by PeeBee: Mar 9 2010, 04:13 PM |
