You have to go though several test in order to be posted in US.
As you know their system are slightly different from us.

And ya, IMU degree is worldwide recognize.
Not that certain universities are yet to register with MQA or edu board.

If you wants to save money, do locally.
You can choose to do your postgraduate overseas, which will be better than doing it in Malaysia. A lot of my seniors choosing this path. Graduate from IMU, then went to UK for specialization.

Note that I'm not medic student nor sciences.
But I still know all these stuff. I once applied, but changed my mind

If you really can't make decision, just call them out and postponed the dateline. They wouldn't mind

This is what happened when bullshits sound so true in a forum. This is so wrong.

To Kellyyhx,

Sorry if i sounded too harsh, but if you are not certain about the status of accreditation for IMU MBBS please do not mislead our TS.

I was once told the same, graduate locally and do specialisation overseas, apparently it was a lie, very bad lie that almost jeopardize my future.

What limeuu said is true, perhaps only 1-10% of IMU MBBS will finally end up overseas, i dont have any figure actually, just a wild guess, but looking at UK's EU law and Aussie's difficulty in taking in their own intern, chances are getting slimmer and slimmer.

AFAIK, anyone regardless of what degree you have including IMU's, you can go sit for the US USLME medical examination. If you pass, you can apply to work in US and I presume, specialization as well.

That's right, for most IMU MBBS graduates the best pathway to overseas is USMLE. But many may change their plans after they graduate, ie partner, bf gf, system, sick of sitting exams, etc etc. And the hardest part is to readapt yourself in a foreign country with a different system and communication.
