my temp increased bout 4c going from 2 rad to the single triple which i can live with, idk bout the i9 but i do know they say the i9 line will only have 3 procs and 2 is released this year with 1 of them being the 999usd extreme edition.

not for the average joe imo, since we cant use 4 core most time 6 core seems overkill lol. hopefully they r still gonna pump out those 32nm i5s with 4 cores.

i do hope there will be an i7 with 32nm before switched to i9 later

The 980X is for sure 32nm Hopefully they move everything to 32nm's

bad news.. the i7 930 is actually 45nm fab.. batches differ, some overclocks quite good, yet some very epic.. temps wise.. almost the same as the current 920 C0

accoring to intel roadmap there is nothing new this year pretty much besides the 2 i9, the low tdp version of 1156 has completely disappear in the roadmap.

so its likely we wont be upgrading much this year they isnt even any plan to put usb 3 and sata 6g as native support this year...

so, i think it's not worth it to go to the i7 930 unless for the new buyer 'coz 920 will phased out once the 930 coming out later. it's still got the same ability like 920, only a slight higher on the stock clockspeed only.

it means the real upgrade should be held by next year... hahahahahha... let's see what's goin on later...

the x22 multiplier after turbo for the 930 will be useless...

as we know i7 likes odd multiplier.

so i7 930 expected to OC the same as i7 920.

Maybe Intel will have something like i7 930 E0 which overclocks to 5Ghz Well I'm not sure but hopefully there'll be something interesting coming, haha

awww too bad u sold ur X58 bro , a friend of mine got the chip and tested it.. 4ghz HT OFF.. 1.000Vcore.. very shocking and very3 impressive..
but like all the i7's.. it's a bit buggy when running an even multiplier, BSOD a lot..

hmm E0 stepping.. will it be better than C0??.. how come they didn't make F0's then haha.. (not really sure on the steppings thingy)

yeahh EO is better than D0 > C0. But ES is better than all the stated..

how about M0"s on the Q6600 i know when the alphabetic order goes down.. u should be able to yield better overclocks and temperature should be less hotter (less heat generated)
