During the lift ride from the mine where you get swarmed by necros falling from the sky, yea i died there.
Its funny because i still has like 80% health and this 1 dark necromoprh just killed me with 1 attack.
Need to start from Chapter 7 again

Finally completed DS2 on Hardcore.
Things i would have done differently if i were to start a hardcore campaign again 1. Contact Beam(CB) and Plasma Cutter(PC) is the weapon of choice. I was using the Force Gun(FG) and the PC on my first couple of tries on hardcore and the FG might be the reason i died so many times at the start. The FG is a good crowd control acting close to a force shotgun. However the damage is relatively low and the nodes needed to fully maximize it is not worthy at all. The CB on the other hand has immense amount of damage (2 shots cuts a Brute's soldier). Dont forget there is NO damage node for the CB, you basically start with max damage for that weapon. The secondary fire of the CB does a AOE damage around you and coupled with its special, you can stasis the enemy too with the secondary fire. 2. Stasis is always your best friend. When danger lurks, like there is an exploder behind you or those small exploding babies or whatever pinch you're in, always choose to stasis. You might say this goes without saying. Yes, but do you really use the Aim+Y rather than that handy Aim+LT?! In my hardcore run i maxed out my stasis first followed by a mix of rig and CB (yes the CB first, check the upgrade field nodes for the gun and you know why). 3. The free checkpoint isnt really necessary. My choice of save has been one right after the free checkpoint and 1 more in the middle of Ishimura and the last being at the government sector beginning of Chapter 13. It is better to have a save somewhere between chapter 5 to 7 and then another at Ishimura and 1 more at chapter 13. I stress myself by trying to get pass to the free checkpoint and end up wasted some time. It was a fun ride despite spending a bit of time on a 50g achievement. The hand cannon is worth the trouble. Now blasting my way through zealot with my Kungfu Sejari really lighten me up after that stressful hardcore. Zealot and Severed. Time to wrap this up.
