Greetings,

C9 has always been in my most anticipated online game list.

The issue of preference whether this game to be hosted in SEA or U.S or even Europe, personally I would hope that it can be hosted in U.S. Below are some of my comments about games hosted in different regions:

1) SEA: They do not provide good services, they don't really take in players' opinions, they don't give feedback/announcement after maintenance time.

2) Europe: They like to block countries outside of Europe to access to their game. Sorry, I don't wanna take the trouble to use VPN client to play a game unless it means a lot to me lol

3) United States: They are by far the best. Lots of games hosted in U.S are playable by Malaysians. They take players' opinions into consideration. They have nice forum as a communication ground for all players.

About the lag issue of playing online games hosted in foreign countries. This either has to do with the game server or your internet connection.

I feel that if you can play a game hosted in U.S without any lag issue, then you should be able to play other games hosted in U.S without lag issue too. If you do experience lag in only a few games but is okay with the others while all of them are hosted in U.S, then the problem has got nothing to do with you, it's most probably the game server problem.

But if you feel lag in all the games hosted internationally, then you need to check your internet connection. To check whether your streamyx is within acceptable speed range, click 'Start', go to 'All Programs', go to 'Accessories', then 'Command Prompt'. In Command Prompt, type the following and press enter:

ping 202.188.0.133

Then you will see a series of responding time from streamyx server. For Sabahan, the ping time should be around 40ms to 60ms on average. If you are getting 400ms to 1000ms or even higher, please call up Streamyx and ask them to solve your high latency problem. You are paying every month and you should pay for what you deserve. Everytime if I get any slow connection, I will surely report to them, or even if your streamyx connection is down and it happens to be their fault (not your modem/hardware settings problem at home), then if the downtime is long, perhaps a few days, you can always demand for a rebate for those few days lost without internet. The way I proposed above to check your internet connection speed might not be exact because it is actually trying to check whether your speed is fast enough when connecting to a local server, but come to think of it, if your internet is not fast enough when connecting to a local server, then don't bother about comparing to the international server. So, if you meet the situation like I just said above, call up TM.

FYI, I am playing online games hosted in U.S without any lag issue at the moment. I played Fiesta Online (hosted in U.S by Outspark), Secret of the Solstice (hosted in U.S by Outspark), Grand Fantasia (hosted in U.S by Aeriagames), Florensia Online (hosted in Europe by Alaplaya) and currently Cloud Nine Online (hosted in U.S by Netgame).

The result:

Latency:
min=72ms
max=107ms
average=85.

quite high cool2.gif . report to them on monday next week.

Not too bad, you should be able to play those games I had played before smile.gif
You also need to consider whether you are sharing your connection with other computers when you are doing this test.
Skype and Youtube contribute some bandwidth usage as well so you might not be able to get the accurate ping time.

However, if your ping time goes higher than 400ms, you will start to feel the lag. 1000ms and above is out of question then.
I had met 1000ms and above for several times, normally after I made a complain and they fixed my problem, I would ask them not to close the report, I would monitor the internet connection for at least a week to see how it goes. If the problem still persists, I will report to them using the same report number, they will actually solve your problem faster. It is not a good thing for them to have a report opened for too long, so they will get it fixed as soon as possible.

Stellar is from west malaysia, probably KL, that's why the ping time is lower because 202.188.0.133 which is streamyx server IP is located in KL, so consider the distance, it is shorter so the ping time is lower a bit.

I believe you still need to wait for some time (probably 6 months or more) before this game is launched globally.

For the time being, I suggest you guys to play SUN online, they look graphically alike smile.gif

I don't lol
It is just that when I see a nice game, I will put it under my potential game list:

Here is my list:
- Dragon Nest
- Prius Online/Anima Online (currently available only in Japanese/Korean)
- iL - Soul Bringer Online
- Iris Online
- Tera Online
- Continent of the Ninth

So, clearly, it is in my list tongue.gif

When a game is just starting in Korea, it would take 6 months and above, worst would be 1 year before the launching of global server.
So, we can just sit back and play other games while waiting for it lol

lol, I am not playing SUN Online, I don't have time to try out all the games.
Currently I am stick with Cloud Nine Online. Basically I like Cloud Nine Online, it is a balanced between PvE and PvP.
The server is hosted in U.S and I don't feel lag at all. smile.gif

Compared to Holic Online, Cloud Nine Online (Holic Online 2) has great difference.
But still you need to have a Netgame account to play this game as Netgame has already blocked new registration from SEA region due to our local game hosting company's request.

Me too. Enough with silkroad. Very tired about grinding.  sad.gif

I like C9 becoz I can hit many mobs at once.  drool.gif

Grand Fantasia is nice, you can run dungeons repeatedly to get treasure chest as rewards from dungeon quest (repeat). Of course you need to have a party to do it.
When Grand Fantasia was just launched, it was lag, I think there were too many people at that time, now is doing a lot better.

I just have this game installed in my laptop smile.gif

i do play US online game before... what hurting me is not the lag issue is the cash shop issue.
*
Hmm..., most are expensive, but some are not. Like Cloud Nine Online, there is no headgear, headgears are cash shop items, and a piece of headgear costs USD 2.5 only, and it doesn't give imbalance stats.

Same thing goes to costume, they cost USD 8 each and don't give imbalance stats. Most importantly, they are permanent.

900ms is......too much.....
Anyway, I had met 1600 to 2000ms before...
Last year was the year I made the most number of calls to TM lol...

You should also check whether you are downloading or not while doing the ping test.
Normally when I'm playing online game, my ping time is around 39 to 45ms..., means gaming doesn't consume lots of bandwidth, downloading/streaming videos are the ones, so check whether you are doing any video streaming/downloading before doing the ping test.
